OH Integration Finance lead will play a key role in the integration of acquired entities. Specifically, they will facilitate the collaboration of Optum resources and leaders of the acquired asset for efficient financial integration and maintain involvement with the entity throughout lookback review timelines. The role will be an advisor to both senior operating and finance leadership responsible for evaluating and assisting with financial plans. The role will also be responsible for overseeing finance staff.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

OH Integration Finance lead will play a key role in the integration of acquired entities. Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate necessary conversations between Optum and UHG corporate functional teams, Optum market teams and leaders of the newly acquired asset
- Help translate the new acquired business into Optum's business framework and help the acquired entity leadership understand Optum processes, definitions, and navigate change.
- Ensure local finance teams and integration partners understand the financial forecast and key integration / synergy assumptions
- Partner with accounting / financial integration teams on reporting requirements post-close
- Assist with the target management team and local finance leaders to facilitate budget / forecast loads, month close analysis and reporting, and recurring FP&A deliverables for an interim period post-close
- Partner with business leaders to support completion of lookback analyses required by Corporate Development to assess acquisition performance, and other acquisition review work
- Work with the shared services functional leads to provide visibility into chargebacks including allocation methodologies, services included, and levers the business has to manage the allocated costs
- Design and make recommendations regarding technology and other tools to optimize financial reporting including internal processing systems, visualization dashboards, reports, etc.
- Partner with LOB/AE to oversee both integration-related costs and core business expenses, working together to review inherited consultant and vendor contracts to ensure we are collectively driving value, improving efficiency, and aligning with Optum's operating model

- As a true business partner to leadership from the integrating entity, OH Finance, cross functional integration teams across the organization, this role will be responsible for ensuring a smooth financial integration into UHG
- Provide strategic recommendations to Senior Management which will influence future M&A business cases and integration plans

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting
- Ability to be a seasoned and mature leader with 8+ years of broad finance experience
- Demonstrated ability to turn analysis into action
- Demonstrated "Businessperson" mentality coupled with exceptional financial acumen
- Ability to partner with the business yet be able to deliver uncomfortable messages around operating and financial performance as need be
- Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and ability to influence change with limited authority
- Ability to highlight issues/problems and convey complex thoughts in a clear, concise and timely manner both in written and oral form
- Ability to influence superiors and peers inside of the Finance area to drive business performance
- Ability to identify financial and operating issues and partner with the business to find solutions to those issues
- Demonstrated passion for UHG; a hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment. Mature and proactive, with evidence of having worked as a true business partner to business and finance leaders
- Proven solid analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model
- Ability to be an effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with solid oral and written skills and a willingness to share information
- Demonstrated collaborative and flexible style, with a solid service mentality
- Proven creativity, with experience implementing critical activities in ways that both generate operating improvements and efficiencies
- Advanced level of proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
