The Hartford’s Technology Strategy and Enablement organization is seeking an experienced Organizational Change Manager to drive adoption of technology initiatives across the enterprise. In this role, you will apply structured change management methodologies to design and execute strategies that enable smooth transitions and sustainable change. You will partner with technology leaders and key stakeholders to align change efforts with the Technology vision, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable impact.
This position combines hands-on delivery with consultative guidance, supporting a portfolio of projects and influencing leaders to embrace new ways of working.
Responsibilities
Change Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute tailored change management strategies using structured methodologies.
Conduct impact analyses, readiness assessments, and risk mitigation planning.
Create and maintain key deliverables such as change roadmaps, stakeholder maps, and communication plans.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build alignment and sponsorship for change initiatives across all levels of the organization.
Act as a change advocate, inspiring and motivating teams to embrace new ways of working.
Manage resistance and implement actions to maximize engagement and adoption.
Communication & Learning
Deliver clear, engaging communications that simplify complex messages for diverse audiences, including executives and technical teams.
Partner with learning teams to align training strategies with change plans.
Support communication campaigns and ensure consistent messaging across channels.
Measurement & Sustainment
Monitor adoption metrics and adjust strategies to maintain momentum and achieve desired outcomes.
Provide consultative support for emerging projects, surfacing risks early and shaping change strategies.
Stay current on change management best practices and technology trends to inform strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in organizational change management, preferably in technology or IT environments.
Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies (e.g., ADKAR).
Proven ability to develop and execute change strategies, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and influencing skills across all levels, including executives.
Experience working in agile or dynamic project delivery environments.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, provide clarity, and maintain progress in evolving environments.
Proficiency with collaboration tools and Microsoft Office; experience in hybrid work settings.
Familiarity with LEAN methodologies or continuous improvement practices is a plus.
Highly adaptable, proactive, and able to challenge the status quo to deliver business outcomes.
Certifications
Highly Desired: Prosci Change Management Certification (or equivalent).
Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management certification.
Additional certifications in Agile or related frameworks are a plus.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
