Overview of the Role 

  • The Paid Media Project Manager is the master and custodian of all media operations at SRW | CA. They work within our Paid Media team to help clients in the better-for-you CPG world execute seamless media campaigns across social, digital and retail channels. They’re experts in understanding the ins and outs of paid media and ensuring our team is delivering on time, on budget and meeting client KPIs. Most of all, they do an exceptional job of owning and managing all executional details, ensuring the process is being followed, and maintaining timelines across many clients, teams and projects. 
  • The Paid Media PM works directly with our Senior Paid Media Managers, Media Buyer and Director of Impact to track budgets and deliverables per client account, facilitate invoicing/billing with finance, liaise between media planners/buyers, analytics, and cross functional teams to deliver reports, and assist with new business initiatives. They are diligent about tracking spends, monitoring pacing, and ensuring media fees are allocated properly. If any SRW team member or client has a question or issue, the Paid Media PM has an answer or solution. 
  • Location: Must be local to Chicago, IL and will observe hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office)
  • Salary range $65,000 - $80,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills.

What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune 

  • Partner with media team members to establish a tracking process for all projects, budgets, media buys, and performance metrics.  
  • Own the nitty gritty details of keeping all campaigns in order across the team. 
  • Keep track of client deliverables and KPIs to help the team stay focused on priorities per account. 
  • Facilitate communication between planning/buying and Director of Impact for quick-turn data pulls and monthly/quarterly reporting needs.  
  • Work with cross-functional team members (Client Services, Strategy, etc.) to ensure the media team is staying on track with timelines, budgets, optimizations, reporting and more. 
  • Oversee the implementation of the media plan launch QA process as needed to ensure accuracy of content, links, UTMs/Tagging, budgets, flight dates and pacing. 
  • Work with SVP Paid Media, SVP Operations, VP Client Service and Finance to manage monthly pre-billing, invoicing, placement fees and pacing by account.  
  • Will need to have complete ownership of Planned vs Actuals on a monthly basis to manage overall client budgets. 
  • Support SVP Paid Media on all new business initiatives and one-off projects – pitch prep, research, gathering follow-up details, and establishing timelines and budgets. 
  • Lead Paid Media team in ongoing research and management of media/AI tools, subscriptions, new technology, new media platforms and media best practices 
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability for moving the agency and clients’ businesses forward; see the big picture 

 What You Should Bring to the Table 

  • Ability to juggle many client projects simultaneously with little oversight 
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills, paired with clear verbal and written communication 
  • Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets within tools/spreadsheets 
  • Knowledge and passion for all things digital/social 
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital technology and terminology  
  • An understanding of business & financial fundamentals, connecting the dots between sales goals, data, and marketing initiatives  
  • Must have prior project management and paid media experience 
  • Must have a working knowledge of Paid Media platforms including: 
    • Social: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest 
    • Search and display (experience with Google) 
    • Retail Media: Instacart, Amazon, Whole Foods, Wal-Mart Connect, Roundel, Ibotta, Kroger and more 

You Will Stand Out If You Have 

  • Experience working with CPG brands is highly desired
  • Previous media planning, buying or analytics experience that can be applied to your day-to-day work as a media PM 
  • Ability to identify new strategies and business opportunities within existing client accounts 
  • Proven experience working on new business to contribute to client proposals and presentations
