What We Offer
Working at CloudX
At CloudX we’re building a new supply-side advertising platform for mobile publishers. We’re convinced that an AI-native product will significantly advance the state of the art in mobile advertising; we recently raised a $30M Series A in order to bring this dream to life. We have a long history of innovation in this space — our founding team previously built MoPub (sold to Twitter for $350M) and MAX (acquired by AppLovin). Our new platform combines real technical improvements like verifiably fair auctions with a truly AI-native product experience to give publishers unprecedented control over their ad monetization strategy.
Own publisher relationships post-handoff from Business Development — ensuring smooth transitions, effective onboarding, ongoing support, and long-term satisfaction. You're responsible for delivering measurable value and turning new publishers into long-term partners.
- Manage publisher relationships from BD handoff through long-term partnership
- Quarterback onboarding and integration, coordinating between publishers and our internal teams
- Drive successful launches with clear success metrics and milestone tracking
- Manage ongoing optimization — reviewing AI-generated recommendations, designing A/B tests, and presenting strategic insights to publishers
- Identify and execute expansion opportunities (additional apps, new formats, increased inventory)
- Own retention and serve as the escalation point for publisher issues
- Partner with Product to translate publisher feedback into roadmap priorities
- 3-7 years mobile app monetization experience, ideally from MAX, ironSource, Unity Ads, or similar platforms
- Direct account management experience with publishers generating $50M+ annual ad revenue
- Have real hands-on experience with ad mediation, account optimization and programmatic advertising
- Track record of driving revenue growth through strategic optimization, not just yield maximization
- Strong analytical skills - comfortable with data analysis, A/B testing, and revenue modeling
- Excellent written and verbal communication - can translate technical concepts into business outcomes
- AI-forward approach - actively use AI tools to scale analysis and communication
- Strong customer empathy with excellent communication skills: You deeply understand publisher pain points from personal experience. Your credibility comes from having lived through similar challenges - whether it's navigating other black box solutions, debugging why fill rates dropped, or understanding why short-term yield optimization hurts long-term retention.
- Analytical mindset: You can look at performance data and identify the story - not just "revenue is down 10%" but "revenue dropped because we increased floor prices last week, which improved eCPM but decreased fill rate, and the net effect is negative." You know how to design tests, interpret results, and make recommendations.
- High ownership: When a publisher's revenue drops, you proactively investigate before they ask. You actively advocate for features your publishers need. You're constantly looking for expansion opportunities. You treat publisher revenue as if it's your own.
- Early-stage mentality: You aim for progress and stability over perfection. You know when to launch a quick test vs. when rigorous analysis is needed. You're comfortable wearing multiple hats and jumping in wherever needed.
- Business acumen with technical fluency: While primarily business-focused, you understand the technical underpinnings—SDK integration, auction mechanics, and Trusted Execution Environments.. You can hold your own in conversations with CTOs and explain how platform architecture benefits publishers.
Your publisher-side experience has equipped you with deep insights into what publishers truly need to succeed - from maximizing LTV and ensuring quality ads to building sustainable monetization strategies. Now you'll leverage that expertise to shape platform infrastructure at scale. You'll partner directly with our product team to build the features your publishers need, creating the transparent, publisher-first experience.
- Competitive base + equity in a well-funded Series A startup
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Flexible remote work
This role requires exceptional self-direction, resilience, and ownership. You'll operate across time zones, build processes from scratch, and balance competing priorities. We need someone who thrives in uncertainty, maintains uncompromising integrity, and has the strategic judgment to prioritize effectively across a diverse regional landscape.
