Cash Asset Management are a firmwide utility that provides End- to-End Cash Management that enables treasury to effectively manage the firm's balance sheet. The global team delivers operational and strategic support to Treasury. Including cash position projections, predictions, and post cash movement analysis on managed accounts. Automation and enhancement of the cash movement processes and remediation of the existing cash Nostro landscape, to improve account data quality, strengthen controls and address lost revenues, increased costs, and operational inefficiencies.
As a Payments Lifecycle Analyst in the Cash Asset Management team, you will help manage daily cash movement and intraday liquidity while supporting a strong control environment. You will monitor payment processing and clearing activity, investigate breaks, and coordinate resolution with internal partners and external banks. You will contribute to operational resilience by responding to issues quickly, communicating clearly, and identifying opportunities to simplify and automate processes.
Job responsibilities
- Monitor intraday cash positions across nostro accounts to support adequate liquidity
- Execute fund transfers across internal and external accounts in line with controls, guidelines, and cut-off times
- Perform daily cash reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and drive timely resolution of cash breaks
- Partner with treasury stakeholders to support intraday liquidity and funding decisions
- Monitor clearing queues and payment processing platforms to support timely settlement and connectivity
- Respond to operational issues by analyzing root causes and resolving payment delays, unmatched items, and posting exceptions
- Analyze business line inflows and outflows to support funding decisions and cash forecasting
- Support regression testing and controlled implementation of system enhancements related to cash processing
- Contribute to business continuity readiness and participate in process improvement and automation initiatives
- Build effective working relationships with key partners, including internal stakeholders and agent banks
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in cash operations, market operations, or liquidity operations within a financial institution
- Working knowledge of payment and messaging standards and platforms such as SWIFT and ISO 20022
- Working knowledge of real-time gross settlement and clearing environments
- Demonstrated ability to perform cash reconciliations, investigate breaks, and drive issue resolution with multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including root cause identification under time constraints
- High attention to detail and accuracy in time-sensitive, high-pressure environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including timely escalation and stakeholder updates
- Ability to work effectively across global teams and across shifting schedules, including weekends as needed
- Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools to support monitoring and decision-making
- Exposure to automation approaches and tools to improve operational processes
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or QlikView
- Ability to source, analyze, and visualize large datasets to identify trends, risks, and process opportunities
- Experience supporting controlled change delivery, testing, and implementation in an operations environment
- Project execution skills with a focus on risk awareness and control adherence
- Experience industrializing or scaling new processes across teams or locations
- Demonstrated ability to manage incidents and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders
