Position:People Business Partner

Position Summary:Develops and implements People & Culture (P&C) practices and strategies that foster a team-member oriented, high-performance culture, which emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment, engagement, and development of an excellent workforce. Responsible for aligning P&C practices and strategies with business goals and ensuring alignment between team members and management in designated business units. Acts as a consultant to business partners through the development of partnerships within the P&C department and defined business units, a team member advocate by developing practices that create an exceptional team member experience, and a change agent by assisting the organization in impacting business goals. Communicates cross-functionally, identifies trends or issues and works with internal and external partners to develop integrated solutions that help further organizational goals.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists in developing integrated solutions that support the business goals of the organization.
  • Executes practices and strategies across multiple P&C domains including, but not limited to, organizational development, succession planning, workforce development, team member retention, organization design, and change management.
  • Fosters a team member oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, high performance, and promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Maintains knowledge and ensures high ethical standard practice while ensuring compliance of all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements.
  • Manages complex team member relations issues and contributes to developing practices, procedures, and guidelines necessary to align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organization and establish positive employer-team member relationships.
  • Partners to understand  business units and their strategic initiatives.
  • Anticipates and assesses business issues and uses analytics to understand root cause and effectively implements solutions.
  • Delivers and digests business goals, disseminates information to appropriate audiences.
  • Provides guidance to business partners around workforce, strategy and operations, and P&C practices.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key partners both internal and external, works with other P&C functions to assure consistent practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Partners to assess gaps and needs to develop a diversity strategy among workforce that fosters inclusion.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related in order to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participates in developing department goals and systems.
  • Assists business partners in the workforce planning process and monitoring of budget related to headcount.
  • Helps monitor the organization's culture to ensure it supports the attainment of the Company's goals and promotes team member satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role
  • Ability to develop relationships across all levels of organizations
  • Ability to interpret information to make business recommendations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR law, HR policy and procedure, Organizational Design, and Organizational Development principles
  • Demonstrated experience influencing partner strategy in order to impact execution of departmental and organizational strategy
  • Agility to work comfortably in ambiguity and influence all levels of the organization
  • Solid understanding of HR policies/procedures, as well as local, state and federal employment laws
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to review information, diagnose needs and take action quickly and accurately
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to operate in a matrixed structure
  • Exceptional verbal and written communicator, ability to tailor messages to various audiences at across all levels

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in normal office working conditions.

Pay Transparency:

Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay rate include your specific skills, experience, qualifications, location, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position. These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.

The hiring range for this position is:

$84,600.00-$113,775.00
