About Vercel:

Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company. We free people and agents to ship what’s next.

For more than a decade, Vercel has shaped how the web is built. As the team behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK, we create products that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.

Now, software is entering a new era, and the next generation of products will not just be used by people. They will be built, extended, and operated by agents.

We are building the platform for that future, trusted by companies like OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. Whether you’re building our products, supporting our customers, growing our community, or shaping our story, you’ll help define what comes next.

About the Role:

We're looking for a People Operations Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You'll be in the work every day: processing transactions in Workday, working the helpdesk queue, pulling reports, and supporting employees through key lifecycle moments like onboarding and offboarding.

This isn't a role about setting strategy. But it is a role for someone who notices when something could be done better and says so. We want someone who takes pride in clean data, fast turnaround, and a smooth employee experience, and who brings curiosity to the work, not just compliance.

What You Will Do:
  • Work the helpdesk: Triage and resolve incoming People Operations tickets in FreshService (transitioning to Serval). Answer employee questions on HR policies, processes, and systems. Know when to escalate and when to just handle it.
  • Process transactions in Workday: Enter and maintain accurate employee data across the full lifecycle: new hires, terminations, job changes, transfers, and more. Own data quality in your lane.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding: Coordinate day-one logistics, ensure Workday records are set up correctly, and help employees and managers navigate transitions cleanly.
  • Pull and deliver reports: Run standard and ad hoc reports out of Workday to support the People team, Finance, and leadership. Know your data well enough to flag something that looks off.
  • Spot and flag improvements: You won't be asked to redesign the function, but if you notice a recurring ticket that could be automated, a process step that adds no value, or a gap in our knowledge base, we want to hear it.
About You:
  • 2–4 years of experience in People Operations, HR Shared Services, or a similar operational HR role
  • Hands-on Workday experience. You're comfortable processing transactions and running reports, not just navigating the UI
  • Experience working a helpdesk or ticketing queue (FreshService, Zendesk, ServiceNow, or similar)
  • High attention to detail; you catch data errors before they become problems
  • Clear, professional written communication. A lot of your employee interactions will be in writing
  • Self-directed and organized; you manage your own queue without needing daily direction
  • A natural inclination to ask "why do we do it this way?" and the judgment to know when to act on the answer vs. when to just get the work done
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation rate

  • Inclusive Healthcare Package + Equity (FTE)

  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills. (FTE)

  • We will provide you the tech you need to do your role

The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $95,000.00 - $115,000.00. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.

Vercel is committed to fostering and empowering an inclusive community within our organization. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Vercel encourages everyone to apply for our available positions, even if they don't necessarily check every box on the job description.
