POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented People Ops Generalist to join our People Operations team. In this role, you will be an essential partner to employees and managers alike, supporting the day-to-day operations that keep our people programs running smoothly. You bring solid HR fundamentals, a service mindset, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Support day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and status changes.
- Serve as a responsive first point of contact for employee and manager questions on HR policies, benefits, and People Ops processes.
- Assist managers with performance management documentation, PIPs, and coaching on standard HR processes.
- Maintain HRIS data accuracy, run regular people data reports, and contribute to ongoing metrics tracking. Rippling experience is a plus.
- Execute cyclical People Ops programs, including performance review coordination, engagement survey logistics, and compensation planning support.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to deliver a seamless onboarding experience.
- Maintain and update HR policies, the employee handbook, and compliance documentation across US, Canada, and UK jurisdictions.
- Support internal communications and logistics for organizational changes, role transitions, and other HR initiatives.
- Ensure day-to-day compliance with employment law and company policy across a remote-distributed workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5 years of HR or People Ops experience, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth technology company.
- Solid foundation in core HR functions: onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, BambooHR, Workday) and comfort working with people data and reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of US employment law; exposure to Canadian and/or UK requirements is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote-first environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; you can explain HR concepts empathetically to employees at all levels.
- High discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification is a plus, not a requirement.
