We use our skills and experience to build measurable, better outcomes for clients facing a variety of high-impact situations – as such, we advise clients across industries and collaborate on projects that span all business functions. 

This role is located in Chicago, Illinois.

In this challenging role, you will:

  • Structure and execute analysis involving our clients’ most complex and ambiguous challenges (working closely with our VPs and SVPs on client projects and supporting them by designing and building quality models, drafting PowerPoint presentations, and performing financial and operational analysis).

  • Translate analysis into tangible implementation plans and performance commitments (building insights into value creation areas, collaborating with engagement team and stakeholders, building relationships to influence and provide advice to key decision-makers)

  • Utilize AlixPartners proprietary tools to analyze data and derive actionable insights (such as our leading-edge tools for revenue growth, spend analysis, and organizational transformation). Conduct research using external tools and databases (including Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Factiva, Statista, and Euromonitor), and use interactive data visualization tools (such as Tableau and Power BI) to present results in a compelling manner.

  • Support practice development, marketing & pitches, and account management.

What you’ll need 
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills

    • Analysts creatively develop new tools, methodologies, and approaches for analysis, synthesize their analysis, identify its business implications, and make solid recommendations to clients

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Python, SQL, and data analytics skills are preferred. A basic understanding of finance, accounting, and microeconomics is preferred

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

    • Outstanding written communication skills in English, as analysts prepare client-ready documents and presentation materials

    • Excellent verbal communication capabilities in English. Analysts concisely present information and are skilled at adapting the level of detail to the audience

    • Extraordinary client service and interpersonal skills. Analysts must act with confidence, maturity, and poise

  • Passion for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

    • High-energy, collaborative style with a flexible and adaptive approach to client and team dynamics

    • Openness for up to 100% travel Monday through Friday

    • Must be open to a hybrid work model and to living within commuting distance (1 hour or less) to the AP Chicago office

    • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

    • Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours as unique projects/needs arise

  • Demonstrated track record of success in educational and professional experiences

    • Bachelor’s degree with graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026 – candidates will begin work in August 2026

    • Degree(s) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or another quantitative field is preferred. Minimum GPA of 3.7 is required

    • Internship(s) with relevant experience in consulting, finance, professional services, business, or other analytically challenging roles preferred.

The firm offers a comprehensive benefits program including health, vision, dental, disability, 401K, tuition reimbursement, identity theft protection, and mental wellness support. Employees will also receive a generous paid leave policy including vacation/personal time starting at 5.67 hours per pay period, sick time up to 80 hours annually, parental leave and twelve holidays. 

The salary for this role takes into account a number of factors and is $110,000/year with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
