Job description:

The Plant Controller ensures financial controls are in place, prepares financial reports, and supports plant leadership with data and analysis to meet plant and corporate goals. The role includes overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, standard costing, audits, payroll, and accounting functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage financial functions including cost and general accounting activities, product costing and capacity planning, and time studies.

Analysis of operating costs and variances.

Provides management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.

Maintenance and improvements to various accounting systems.

Maintenance and development of forecasting and budgeting models.

Timely, accurate preparation of special studies and projects.

Supervision of staff.

Manage payroll system, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.

Member of Management Team responsible for planning, budgeting and implementing TQM and Best Methods Program.

Maintain audit binders and associated completion & reporting.

Work directly with external auditors

Arranges for audits of company accounts, prepares reports required by regulatory agencies, and completes fiscal year-end audit binder.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience with broad management accounting background, preferably with responsibilities over operational reporting in a manufacturing environment.
