Role Overview

We are seeking a PMO Analyst (Strategy) who will drive the governance and execution of SPM’s strategy and transformation programmes. This role focuses on objectives, KPIs, scorecards, strategic initiatives, and structured communication across Customer Operations. You will help turn strategy into measurable outcomes and embed new processes across the organisation.

SPM manages Ciena’s global partner ecosystem responsible for delivering services to our customers. We ensure partners are commercially competitive, operationally ready, and aligned with Ciena’s quality and performance expectations. Our mission is to create a best-in-class partner ecosystem that enables outstanding customer delivery.

How You Will Contribute

  • Lead governance of SPM’s global strategy, transformation roadmap, objectives and OKRs.
  • Drive scorecard development, KPI tracking, maturity models and performance reporting.
  • Build structured communication channels into Customer Operations and other stakeholders.
  • Work with SPM leadership to translate strategy into detailed workstreams and milestones.
  • Introduce new processes, frameworks and tools across regions and partners.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives are monitored, reviewed and delivered to plan.
  • Support quarterly business reviews and strategic forums with data and insights.
  • Act as a central coordination point for cross-functional alignment.
  • Coordinate opportunities for innovation and introduction of AI enabled tools for efficiency.

The Must Haves

  • 2–5 years’ experience in PMO, transformation, strategy execution or portfolio management.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and KPI/OKR methodologies.
  • Skilled in structuring processes and communicating complex topics clearly.
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholder expectations and drive accountability.
  • Highly analytical, structured, and comfortable working with data.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data-driven reporting.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a passion for structure and clarity.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience working in a global function or across multiple regions.
  • Exposure to strategy teams, business transformation or organisational design.
  • Telecoms or technology background is beneficial but not essential. Experience with AI driven efficiency
  • Experience with AI & innovation introduction for efficiency
