What this job involves:

The Portfolio Energy & Sustainability Manager will serve on multiple client assignments, reporting to the Director of Sustainable Operations. You'll oversee the development and project management of energy initiatives to ensure delivery of client KPIs including energy savings, carbon footprint reduction, water and waste management. This role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful environmental impact across extensive real estate portfolios while collaborating with teams to deliver innovative sustainability solutions.

This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Develop and execute energy management and sustainability strategies to meet client objectives
  • Implement energy and sustainability programs and drive operational improvements across real estate portfolios
  • Manage energy, waste, and water data collection within JLL's technology platform and produce tailored monthly/quarterly reports
  • Support corporate reporting objectives including CDP reporting and provide management information on utility usage and environmental impact
  • Collaborate with JLL energy managers and facility managers to share best practices and develop new business opportunities
  • Conduct desktop audits to identify conservation measures and engage with stakeholders on sustainability initiatives
  • Develop and enhance systems and processes for delivering best practice sustainability performance using utility/sustainability management systems

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • Experience conducting ASHRAE Level 1 and 2 energy audits and site assessments
  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments
  • Knowledge of environmental reporting, utility management and energy budgets
  • Experience with energy procurement processes and renewable energy options
  • Familiarity with utility management and sustainability reporting software platforms
  • Experience in tender preparation, work order management, and vendor selection
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems

Required Skills and Experience:

  • University degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or commensurate experience)
  • Technical understanding of common HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems
  • In-depth understanding of energy and water conservation measures and Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reporting
  • Experience benchmarking and analyzing utility data to drive sustainability measures
  • Ability to explain complex information and build consensus with diverse stakeholders

Estimated compensation for this position:

90,000.00 – 110,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
