Responsibilities:
Lead / coordinate the onboarding of new employees as well as initial training in Preanalytic workflows to ensure a positive new hire experience.
Provide / coordinate ongoing group and individualized training in specimen receipt, order creation, order updates, accessioning, order review, specimen returns for purposes of work performance enhancement and general education.
Deliver training in department policies and procedures.
Conduct related competency evaluation.
Develop and implement appropriate resources and tools to accomplish training objectives.
Evaluate and update existing training materials and plans.
Serve as a subject matter expert / procedural resource for department employees and external stakeholders (i.e. IT, Product, other downstream functions).
Support leadership and Quality Manager with their goals in relation to quality and service metrics.
Assist with the creation and execution of improvement plans for underperforming employees.
Maintain accurate logs and records for all training competency assessments conducted.
Provide training with respect and professionalism at all times.
Perform bench work as needed (not exceed 25% of the time).
Additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
3 years relevant work/training experience.
Ability to design and implement training, and to measure and report on training effectiveness and outcomes.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
$25.00
The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
