Xylem is seeking a Pricing Analyst to play a critical role in driving both strategic and transactional pricing initiatives within our Applied Water business. This position is responsible for ensuring pricing data accuracy, supporting customer quote reviews, conducting detailed pricing and margin analyses, auditing key pricing decisions, and delivering actionable insights that enable profitable growth.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. This role requires a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and advancing pricing maturity throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pricing Database Management
  • Maintain and continuously improve pricing systems, including list prices, discount structures, and customer-specific terms.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all pricing tools and systems.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to enhance database functionality and automation.
  • Quote Support & Pricing Facilitation
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Finance to validate pricing on customer quotes and proposals.
  • Ensure all pricing aligns with established strategies, margin targets, and contractual guidelines.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support quote approvals and customer negotiations.
  • Pricing Analysis & Reporting
  • Conduct detailed analyses on pricing, margins, and win/loss outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards and reports that translate data into actionable commercial insights.
  • Support leadership with data visualizations and KPIs that measure pricing performance.
  • Project Pricing Audits
  • Review and audit past project pricing to ensure compliance with policy and profitability targets.
  • Identify process gaps, recommend corrective actions, and support process improvement initiatives.
  • General Pricing Support
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for pricing-related inquiries and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of pricing tools, governance frameworks, and training programs.
  • Support cross-functional projects aimed at driving pricing consistency and operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pricing, finance, or business analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
  • Experience with pricing tools, ERP/CRM systems, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience supporting sales or customer-facing teams is preferred.
Preferred Attributes
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of cost structures and pricing strategies.
  • Familiarity with basic scripting or query languages (SQL, VBA, Python) for data management and validation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with an eagerness to streamline and modernize pricing processes.

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 plus bonus.   Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
