The Opportunity:  

 

We’re seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious, data-driven, technical, and business-oriented Principal Analyst to lead pricing analysis and execution for Workhuman’s E-commerce store. 

As part of our market-leading mission-oriented employee recognition platform, Workhuman’s best-in-class global E-commerce store allows users to seamlessly redeem their recognition points for merchandise, gift cards, and experiences to magnify the impact of peer recognition. 

The Principal Analyst will play a critical role in evolving how pricing decisions are evaluated, tested, and executed. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical rigor to pricing decisions, structure trade-offs, and drive measurable business impact through implemented pricing changes. They will develop deep expertise in pricing data and performance drivers, using that insight to balance competitive pricing with profitability and evaluate how adjacent levers such as promotions and product exposure interact with pricing to influence outcomes. 

We’ve experienced incredible growth over the last few years and are investing in our Data and Analytics capabilities to drive innovation and data-driven decision making. The Principal Analyst will be part of the Business Analytics team, reporting to the Director of Ecommerce Analytics, and partnering closely with stakeholders across Category Management, Sourcing, Client Engagement, Finance, and Product & Technology.

** This is a hybrid role which requires at least 3 days a week onsite in our (brand new!) Framingham, MA office** 

**Applicants must have valid permanent work authorization in the U.S. (e.g., U.S. citizen, permanent resident). We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead pricing analysis and decision support across the e-commerce store, including developing hypotheses, evaluating scenarios, and recommending actions 

  • Design, execute, and analyze pricing tests; measure impact and iterate based on results 

  • Evaluate how adjacent levers (e.g., promotions, product ranking and exposure) interact with pricing to influence revenue and profitability 

  • Define pricing logic and translate decisions into implemented changes within pricing systems and tools 

  • Monitor pricing performance and business outcomes, surfacing insights and refining approaches over time 

  • Build and maintain data models and dashboards to enable self-service insights and ongoing visibility into pricing performance 

  • Partner with Product & Engineering to inform pricing capabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate and refine pricing approaches 

 

Desired skills and experience: 

  • Proven experience delivering business results in technical, business-oriented analytics roles, preferably with a background in B2C ecommerce/retail dynamic pricing 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive toward decisions 

  • Experience evaluating pricing approaches, building scenario models, designing experiments, and translating insights into actionable changes 

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets; familiarity with Python or R for analysis is a plus 

  • Experience building data models and dashboards to support self-service analytics and business visibility 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams, balancing business context with technical detail 

  • Strong business intuition with a bias toward action 

  • BA/BS or equivalent technical certification, preferably in a quantitative discipline 

The base salary range for this position is $150,000–$175,000. Offered base compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other factors relevant to the scope and responsibilities of this role.

This role is also eligible for bonus or other variable compensation based on job performance and our standard benefits package, which supports employee well-being and work-life balance.
