Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all .
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
We develop the model quality systems that enable reliable, scalable semiconductor design across generations of memory technology. Our team works at the intersection of compact modeling, CAD, and validation to ensure models behave predictably and are ready for production use. We care deeply about rigor, automation, and engineering systems that last!
This role is central to how compact models for DRAM and NAND are validated, released, and trusted. As a Principal Model Quality Architect, you will define the quality bar and build the automated systems that enforce it. You will operate as a technical authority, shaping how models are tested, released, and consumed across teams, while reducing manual effort and accelerating acceptance cycles.
Responsibilities:
  • Define and own model QA and release readiness frameworks for compact and interconnect models
  • Design and maintain automated pass/fail and regression testing for model behavior and stability
  • Establish objective quality criteria that gate model releases
  • Drive early detection of unintended model changes through continuous regression
  • Provide technical leadership and partner with modeling, validation, CAD, and DTCO teams

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in compact modeling, model validation, simulation infrastructure, or quality systems
  • Experience designing or owning automated test or regression frameworks
  • Strong programming or scripting skills such as Python, Tcl, shell, or C/C++
  • Deep understanding of simulation-based engineering workflows

Preferred Qualifications:
  • DRAM or NAND compact model experience
  • Familiarity with BSIM-class models and parasitic RC extraction tools
  • Background in software or systems architecture
  • Experience identifying systemic quality risks and converting them into automated test coverage
  • Interest in using AI-powered code generation tools to improve engineering efficiency
