Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.
We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.About the Role:

The Principal Product Manager, High Value Senders will report to the Director of Product. You will build the experience that ensures large cross-border transfers occur without error, friction, or confusion, and our customers feeling a part of a special group - intelligent, industrious, modern global wealth builders who deserve elevated service.

You will operate at the intersection of interface and infrastructure. We are investing in removing critical blockers (e.g. payment rails, regulatory limits, aggregated verification procedures, other defect drivers) in strategically targeted corridors, while upleveling the customer experience to unlock growth. When the underlying complexity is working well, the customer just sees a fast, error-free flow.

Your strategic mandate has two parts, with the goal of improving conversion, send volume, and customer retention. First, optimize for customer trust by increasing the reliability in our systems and processes for handling larger cross-border transfers. Second, evolve the receive side of such international transfers  because the money has a job to do (buy a property, make an investment, pay for a wedding, hospital bill, tuition or mortgage). The goal is to make transferring larger amounts feel as effortless as paying a friend locally.

We expect our product managers to be AI-fluent. AI-powered tooling is increasing how the best PMs work and how the best products get built. You will use these tools to accelerate discovery and execution, and identify where you can embed AI capabilities into the customer experience.

You Will:
  • Define the product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for reducing friction faced by high value senders.

  • Be a customer advocate — translating qualitative research, usability studies, and quantitative signals (including through AI-assisted synthesis tools) into product decisions that reduce friction and improve first-attempt success rates.

  • Lead the scalability strategy for high value sender experiences: partner with engineering to ensure that corridor-specific rules, payment method nuances, and eligibility constraints are handled through systems and frameworks that can grow without manual overhead.

  • Lead the evolution of high value sending from going just to financial institutions like banks into getting to their ultimate destination (property builders, merchants, hospitals, universities, etc.).

  • Partner with engineering, design, analytics, and risk to ship experiences that are accurate, performant, and globally compliant across a diverse range of payout networks, payment methods, and regulatory environments.

  • Design A/B experiments, summarize results, and deliver applicable recommendations to the team and senior team members.

  • Partner with engineering and data science to prototype, evaluate, and ship AI-powered capabilities, including intelligent autofill, smart defaults, and adaptive validation. Define clear success metrics and guardrails for responsible deployment.

  • Use AI tools in your own product management workflow — from summarizing qualitative research signals at scale, to drafting and iterating on product specs, to prototyping and validating concepts.

  • Set and own goals in partnership with engineering, and manage understanding across teams with adjacent dependencies.

  • Engage with team members and external partners to understand network-specific requirements, payment method nuances, and opportunities to expand our capabilities.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of product management experience delivering measurable outcomes on consumer-facing products at scale.

  • 5+ years building consumer-facing mobile or web products within payments, FinTech, or a high-complexity checkout or onboarding experience.

  • Experience with payments ecosystems — including card, bank transfer, real-time payment rails, and local payment methods — and the ability to translate payment method complexity into clear customer experiences.

  • Proficient in designing experiments, interpreting funnel data, and making data-driven prioritization decisions.

  • Experience working across recipient or identity-verification flows, including validation logic, autofill, or alias-based lookup, is a plus.

  • Experience building and scaling systems and frameworks that handle diverse, country-specific requirements without requiring custom engineering work for each case.

  • Experience motivating and aligning teams — engineering, UX, analytics, compliance, and operations — and to navigate tough technical tradeoffs with care.

  • Experience setting product strategy and leading teams using Agile and lean methodologies.

  • Experience working in regulated environments, understanding compliance and risk constraints, and finding creative paths that serve both the customer and the business.

  • Demonstrated fluency with AI as a daily PM tool — you use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate your work, and you can critically evaluate new AI capabilities as they emerge.

  • A hands-on orientation toward AI as a product feature involves identifying where AI unlocks step-change improvements in existing experiences. You can prototype concepts using LLM APIs or modern tooling, evaluate quality and failure modes, and define the guardrails needed to ship AI-powered features responsibly at scale. This is possible even when the core product is not AI-native.
