The Role

We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Ottimate’s Payments and Expense Management product suite—encompassing our VendorPay and Ottimate Spend offerings. This is a critical leadership role in the Product organization. As the most senior PM on the Payments and Expense side of our business, you’ll shape the future of Ottimate’s financial workflows—from virtual cards and invoice-free settlement to real-time expense tracking and spend control. You’ll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Finance, Partnerships, and GTM teams to deliver intuitive, scalable, and secure payment and spend experiences for our customers in hospitality, retail, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for Payments and Expense Management across VendorPay and Ottimate Spend
  • Drive product discovery to uncover customer pain points, evolving needs, and industry trends
  • Define, prioritize, and deliver high-impact features that power vendor payments, corporate cards, and real-time spend visibility
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design to deliver delightful, performant, and compliant solutions
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to meet regulatory and security requirements across payment methods (ACH, virtual cards, check, etc.)
  • Work with Sales, Success, and Marketing to support launches, enablement, and product positioning
  • Evaluate partner and integration opportunities, especially in embedded finance, expense platforms, and vertical ERPs
  • Serve as the internal and external product expert for all things Payments and Expense Management
  • Track key metrics and user feedback to iterate, scale, and improve product performance and customer satisfaction

Requirements
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 4 years in payments, fintech, or expense management
  • Proven ability to lead complex product areas from 0 to 1 and 1 to scale
  • Deep understanding of B2B payment flows, financial operations, and card ecosystems
  • Demonstrated success driving growth and adoption in transactional or usage-based revenue models
  • Strong data instincts and comfort with both qualitative research and quantitative analysis
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills; thrives in cross-functional leadership
  • Prior experience working in mid-size or growth-stage SaaS companies is a plus
  • Bonus: Experience with vertical SaaS, AP/AR automation, or ERP integrations

Benefits
  • Salary range: $190,000-$200,000 a year plus bonus compensation.
  • Opportunity to shape technical solutions for a fast-growing SaaS company.
  • Competitive compensation, including base salary and performance incentives.
  • Collaborative, remote-first culture with a focus on innovation and impact.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, 401(k), and flexible PTO
