About the teamZillow Rentals is building a best-in-class vertically integrated marketplace that connects renters with property owners and managers to make it easier than ever to move from one home to the next — from large-scale multifamily communities to single-family homes. We provide best-in-class advertising solutions for our valued partners with a complete set of digital tools to help them market their properties, identify prospective tenants, sign a lease, and collect payments — delivering a complete end-to-end online experience.
This is a high-growth, high-focus area for Zillow — and an opportunity to make an impact and deliver significant outcomes. Our team is staffed with talented applied scientists, engineers, designers, product managers, marketers, and researchers partnering closely with teams across Zillow to deliver highly tailored, trusted experiences for millions of customers.

About the role

Zillow Rentals operates in a dynamic rental housing industry with a vast ecosystem of technology partners that are critical to delivering renters and property managers a best-in-class user experience. Our Renter Transactions & Partner Integrations team is focused on delivering a seamless lead-to-lease experience on Zillow and enabling deep partner integrations to power interactions between renters and property managers.

The Principal Product Manager for Renter Transactions & Partner Integrations will own the advertiser value story for Zillow Rentals — making our leads the richest and most qualified in the industry, and building the measurement system that proves their full-funnel impact. Zillow delivers millions of leads each week to property managers; this role ensures those leads carry the right renter context, that they’re delivered through modern integrations across a fragmented partner landscape, and that partners can clearly see the value those leads drive all the way to a signed lease.

This is a high-ambiguity, high-influence role. Internally, you’ll partner deeply with Zillow’s Partnerships & Strategy team and across multiple product groups — connecting how leads are generated and delivered with how advertiser performance and ROI are measured. Externally, you’ll work hand-in-hand with property management companies (PMCs), the property management systems (PMS) and CRMs that power their operations, and the marketing-performance and attribution providers they rely on to make budget decisions. You’ll possess deep product expertise and a demonstrated track record for bringing effective, scaled partner integrations to life, and you’ll apply strong strategic product sense and a passion for solving complex, ambiguous problems with a customer-first approach.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Define, evangelize, and implement the product vision and strategy for how Zillow Rentals generates, enriches, and delivers leads to property managers and their partners.

  • Modernize lead delivery — moving partners from legacy, email-based handoffs toward structured, reusable API integrations across a wide range of PMS and CRM systems.

  • Own the attribution and ROI narrative: build the measurement framework that demonstrates Zillow’s full-funnel value, from lead to lease, to the partners making budget decisions.

  • Engage key players across the rentals industry — and partner closely with property management companies — to inform and execute on integrations and data-sharing.

  • Lead and deliver high-impact initiatives, collaborating closely with engineering, design, data science, and business teams.

  • Use both quantitative and qualitative data to inform product direction and measure success.

  • Present clear, compelling narratives to align executives and partners on strategy and progress.

  • Establish and track success metrics that drive lead quality, advertiser retention, and revenue impact.

Who you are

You are a product expert who knows how to make everyone around you better, bring clarity to ambiguity, and influence without authority. A dedicated advocate for the customer, you know how to inspire others to care deeply about customers too.

  • 10+ years in a Product Management role, with a focus on building consumer-facing technology products. Ecommerce and/or marketplace experience required.

  • Experience with 3rd-party partnerships and technical integrations.

  • Comfort with funnel metrics, attribution modeling, and measurement frameworks; able to turn fragmented data into a credible ROI story.

  • Strong commercial instinct — understands how advertisers and partners make budget decisions, and can connect product infrastructure to retention and revenue.

  • Strong Product Management skills, experienced in independently owning sophisticated products and/or a product portfolio.

  • Exceptional ability to influence and drive consensus across leadership, product, engineering, and data science teams.

  • Consistent record of shipping successful products at scale.

  • Excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment (verbal, written, and visual), with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels.
