What You'll Do

This role will help lead one or more team(s) to support external or internal testing requests as it relates to test execution, including application level setup within OCC’s ENCORE system, creation of testing inputs, initiating and monitoring the applicable processes, and confirming the resulting outbound data files and reports are produced. Processing can extend to multiple areas of ENCORE including Clearing as well as downstream Risk/Margin systems. This role will direct the team(s) who support these efforts in test planning and preparation, execution, as well as troubleshooting with external parties. This role will provide resources that enable the team(s) to respond to connectivity requests as required to facilitate testing or support Production. This position requires a mix of business and technology knowledge with the ability to liaise between functions in order to support business process verification and utilizing technology to meet business goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead one or more team(s) responsible for design and development of tests for Encore/ETS/Data Platform applications. Team(s) may be responsible for the following tasks: Attend high level design sessions, code walk-throughs and offer suggestions, and guidance on any topic that could have a negative impact

  • Works in an Agile team throughout the Lifecycle to collaborate on the analysis, design, development and testing

  • Actively participates in the Sprint planning session and assist in creating stories with robust acceptance criteria while helping identify missing or incomplete requirements

  • Analyze the business requirements, understand the expectation from end user, review with Business Analysts/SMEs and design test scenarios

  • Attend daily scrum standup and report testing issues

  • Provide key inputs during retrospective meetings

  • Create test data, detailed test cases for validating business functions and regression testing

  • Clearly articulates verbally and in writing the specifics around defects

  • Monitors and updates defect reports as needed to ensure timely problem resolution

  • Review User stories for the sprint with the users and get user approval before sprint is closed

  • Conducts regression, integration, and systems testing on newly designed or modified applications/systems

  • Performs application and project risk analysis and recommends quality improvements

  • Assists production support by testing time sensitive defects and providing advice on system functionality

  • Participate in the communication and analysis of test results and patterns, providing a feedback loop to requirements gathering, design and development teams

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend automation testing tools

  • Provide accurate timelines to the stakeholders and make sure deadlines are met without effecting the quality of the product

  • Be the point of contact for the responsible applications and provide support as needed

  • Prioritize, assign and balance workload of the team as per the timelines

  • Responsible for continuously improving the QA process and technologies

  • Drive and maintain automation efforts across multiple areas

  • Work with individual team members to understand their career interests and help them grow by providing guidance and mentorship

  • Guide, mentor and help team members to grow using Individual Development Plan

Qualifications

  • [Required] Advanced knowledge of a development lifecycle under Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies

  • [Required] Ability to manage small- and large-scale projects and ensuring team efficiency

  • [Required] Broad based knowledge of the Lifecyle development, change control management, test planning management

  • [Required] Strong analytical skills with potential to display methods of testing highly sophisticated systems, progressively diagnose system defects, and clearly communicate project constituents, key findings and learnings

  • [Required] Strong communication skills, written and oral, sound judgement and time management skills, ability to work effectively with clients (users), management and staff

  • [Required] Advanced design and development skills in one of the following technologies and tools: Fitnesse Automation for Appian, Selenium and Protractor

  • [Required] Highly motivated self-starter with creative problem-solving skills

  • [Required] Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced Agile environment

  • [Required] Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • [Required] Advanced experience with team leadership and development

Technical Skills

  • [Required] Advanced design and development skills in one of the following technologies and tools: Fitnesse Automation for Appian, Selenium and Protractor

  • [Required] Highly motivated self-starter with creative problem-solving skills

  • [Required] Relational databases and query tools. (SQL Server, Oracle and DB2)

  • [Required] Automated testing tool experience (Selenium, ServiceNow Automated Test Framework, QTP, Protractor)

  • [Required] Experience testing SAS (Software as Service) applications such as Appian, Archer, Service Now, Oracle ERP and Workday

  • [Required] Programming/Scripting Experience/knowledge in any one language (Java, VB script, Python)

Education and/or Experience

  • [Required] Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • [Preferred] Master’s Degree

  • [Required] 10+ years of experience in system analysis and application testing role

  • [Preferred] Test management experience leading small to large projects and development of test plans

Compensation

  • The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
  • In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
  • We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a substantial benefits package as noted on www.theocc.com/careers
  • All employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.

Salary Range

$152,900.00 - $261,700.00

Incentive Range

23% to 30%

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
