Key Responsibilities
- Lead system-level design definition and design reviews for SSD products, ensuring alignment with roadmap, customer requirements, and platform capabilities
- Drive resolution of complex, multi-domain technical issues (firmware, hardware, systems) using structured methodologies and data-driven debug approaches
- Define and implement system-level characterization strategies (power, thermal, performance, reliability)
- Act as a primary technical interface for executive partners, customers, and global engineering teams
- Lead lessons-learned initiatives and drive continuous improvement in SSD development methodologies
- Mentor engineers and shape technical direction through leadership and influence
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Deep expertise in SSD architecture including controller design, FTL, wear-leveling, and NAND lifecycle!
- Strong knowledge of PCIe and NVMe protocols and performance optimization
- Experience in system-level design, debug, and characterization across development phases
- Hands-on expertise with lab instrumentation and board-level debug
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with SSD ASICs, firmware integration, and system-level co-design
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Bash for automation
- Experience with power and thermal optimization at system level
- Experience leading multi-functional teams and working with customers
Work Location Requirement
- This role is full-time onsite and based in Longmont, Colorado
- Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not supported for this position
