Summary
A Principal has extensive project experience and generally serves in a leadership role providing strategic and technical direction to solve complex business problems. A Principal has both broad and deep technical expertise. A Principal has strong leadership skills and can build new business capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Architects' solutions across entire project stages: project initiation, requirements gathering, design, build, test, and release
- Defines, owns, and ensures technical standards and guidelines for respective service line
- Helps to define and coordinate technical enablement for respective service line
- Provides thought leadership to respective service line including supporting marketing initiatives and serving as technical SME within service line for broader organization
- Identifies and builds new service offerings based upon identified market demand and need
- Identifies and communicates the business impact and benefits of technical initiatives to both internal stakeholders at Analytics8 and external client stakeholders
- Identifies issues, diagnoses root causes, and solves problems as the last line of defense for consulting teams
- Reviews project deliverables and provides direction to consulting teams in an Engagement Advisor capacity, identifying and escalating project risk or remediation items as they arise
- Works closely with Consulting Directors and People Office to identify technical enablement needs across respective service line teams
- Develops sales proposals in collaboration with Growth team through definition of deliverables, staffing plan, and assumptions
- Remains current on competitive trends in the industry to anticipate and identify new business challenges and issues at assigned clients
- Promotes Analytics8 brand awareness and thought leadership through article publication, blogs, webinars, and speaking engagements
- Manages multiple internal and external priorities across different types of projects, initiatives, and customer engagements concurrently
- Provides advice and recommendations to Analytics8 leadership
- Provides mentoring to Analytics8 junior consultants and develops formal enablement content
Essential Requirements
- Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience of data-related design and development methodologies, standards, and procedures
- Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Data Strategy
- Data Governance
- Data Architecture
- Data Engineering
- Analytics
- Data Science / AI and Advanced Analytics
- Expert level knowledge of the data analytics industry
- Expert level knowledge of Analytics8 service offerings
- Expert level skill and experience advising executive and C-Suite business stakeholders.
- Expert level skill in scoping, delivering, and reviewing technical consulting solutions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven leader of consulting teams
- Proven history of leading successful consulting engagements
- Proven history of successfully positioning consulting services in sales engagements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
