As a Private Equity Analyst intern, you will research businesses, perform financial modeling, support investment sourcing, and prepare investor materials, while working closely with the Founding Partner and CEO.
This is a remote position.
As an Investment Analyst, you will be an integral member of the team with significant responsibilities and the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the investment process, including:
- Research on technology, software, and health/wellness/healthcare businesses
- Financial modeling for both deals and portfolio company monitoring
- Writing to support investment sourcing, due diligence, and underwriting decisions
- Preparing investor materials, including decks, memos, financial models, and more
- Monitoring portfolio companies and related news/events
- Developing corporate strategy
- Other responsibilities to support the Founding Partner and CEO, as mutually agreed
You will have the opportunity to:
- Work directly with the Founding Partner and CEO, who has raised and deployed over $100 million in capital over the last 5 years and achieved top-decile performance
- Contribute to the operational, strategic, and cultural development of the emerging investment company
- Participate in all areas of a private equity fund, including sourcing, due diligence, preparing investor materials, investor relations, corporate strategy, and more
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in investment banking, management consulting, and/or private equity/venture capital
- Finance/Accounting experience and financial modeling skills (not required)
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills; Canva skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and operate as a team player
- Resourcefulness and thoroughness in conducting research and financial analysis
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
