About StartEngine

StartEngine is the FinTech powerhouse driving the future of fundraising and alternative investing. StartEngine was founded by Howard Marks, the co-founder of Activision (now valued at over $75B), with the goal of helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams by removing funding barriers. Howard partnered with co-founder Ron Miller, a veteran entrepreneur and early advocate of equity crowdfunding, to build a platform that democratizes access to capital. In 2020, StartEngine welcomed Shark Tank judge and serial entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary (aka Mr. Wonderful) as Strategic Advisor and Investor. Since its inception, StartEngine has helped over 550 companies raise more than $1.5B from retail investors, with investments starting at as little as $100.

Why merely back a company when you can own a piece of it?

StartEngine is seeking experienced sales professionals to join our Private Equity team and help expand access to one of the most exciting areas of investing: private companies, secondary transactions, and pre-IPO opportunities.

As a Private Equity Associate, you will work directly with accredited investors, building long-term relationships and helping clients evaluate investment opportunities across StartEngine Private’s curated portfolio of private market offerings. This is a consultative sales role focused on educating investors, understanding their objectives, and guiding them through the investment process.

Associates are responsible for developing and managing their own book of business, conducting outbound investor outreach, following up on qualified leads, and driving capital commitments into private market transactions. You’ll have access to a large network of engaged accredited investors and the opportunity to participate in a rapidly growing segment of the financial industry that was traditionally reserved for institutions and ultra-high-net-worth investors.

What you'll do

  • Be a Trusted Partner to Elite Investors
  • Build meaningful relationships with accredited investors across the U.S.
  • Consult with investors to understand their portfolio goals and risk appetites.
  • Serve as their insider connection to the private markets — delivering exclusive pre-IPO opportunities before they hit the mainstream.
  • Identify opportunities to align investor interests with upcoming private offerings.
  • Actively manage investor relationships to ensure long-term engagement and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience from first call to closed deal.
  • To put it simply = Drive deal flow and overall market momentum

🔎 What’s in It for You (Besides the Paycheck)

  • Access to Rare Opportunities: You’ll be working with investments that most people never hear about — exclusive pre-IPO securities that can define the next era of industry leaders.
  •
  • 🚀 Cutting-Edge Market Insights: You’ll stay ahead of financial trends, gaining deep knowledge of disruptive companies, emerging sectors, and private markets.
  •
  • 💼 Work with Sophisticated Investors: You’ll engage daily with high-net-worth individuals and help shape their investment strategies for long-term growth.
  •
  • 💡 Impact the Future of Finance: The private equity landscape is changing, and you’ll be at the forefront — helping accredited investors participate in wealth-building opportunities that were previously reserved for institutional players.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success in outbound sales, business development, or relationship-driven sales environments
  • Active Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required
  • Live and work permanently in the United States.
  • Experience selling investment products or working with retail investors strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment
  • A natural relationship builder who thrives on meaningful conversations.
  • A passion for finance, private equity, and cutting-edge technology sectors.
  • Confidence in presenting complex investment opportunities with clarity.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate sophisticated client relationships.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset — you’re not just a salesperson; you’re a trusted advisor.

Perks & Benefits

  • 100% covered Medical/Dental/Vision - pick your own plan
  • Generous Equity package
  • Unlimited PTO and sick days
  • Paid WeWork Usage (optional)
  • 100% Remote
  • Team Off-sites and Celebration Dinners
  • Paid Maternity/Paternity leave
  • 401K program
  • Flexible hours
  • Be part of one of the fastest growing parts of the FinTech Industry
  • A chance to work with a highly profitable and rapidly expanding startup (not VC funded)
