Job Description

Motorola Solutions is building talent pipelines to meet future hiring demands. This is a pipeline role, while there is not an immediate opening, we want to build relationships with prospective candidates like you. If your background is a match to our requirements, we’ll follow up with an exploratory conversation.

The Procurement Compliance Project Manager serves as the critical bridge between operational sourcing and corporate integrity. You won’t just be "checking boxes"; you will be the architect of a transparent supply chain. This role requires a blend of project management rigor, data literacy, and the diplomatic skill to navigate complex regulatory environments.

Core Responsibilities

1. Strategy Management & Reporting

  • Operational Governance: Translate high-level procurement strategies into tactical project plans with clear milestones (e.g., Small Business Subcontracting goals or Sustainability targets).

  • Audit Readiness: Beyond conducting audits, you will develop "Self-Assessment" toolkits for buyers to prevent non-compliance before it occurs.

  • Regulatory Translation: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on U.S. Federal requirements, ensuring the team stays ahead of changing legislation (e.g., Section 889, Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act).

2. Data Analytics & Integrity

  • Predictive Risk Modeling: Move beyond retrospective reporting to identify trends in supplier data that indicate potential financial instability or geopolitical risk.

  • System Ownership: Act as the functional lead for Procurement Contract Management (CLM) or ERP systems to ensure the "Source of Truth" remains untainted.

  • Visualization: Convert raw datasets from SQL or Excel into executive-ready visualizations (PowerBI/Tableau) that tell a story of risk vs. reward.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Cross-Functional Diplomacy: Mediate between Engineering’s need for speed, Legal’s need for protection, and Finance’s need for cost-control.

  • Training & Enablement: Design and deliver training sessions to the broader Supply Chain team to foster a culture of "Compliance by Design.

Location: Employee must be based in the Greater Chicago Area with the expectation to be in office 3 days per week.

Target Base Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
