This position is based in Miami at our Wynwood office.

The Role

As Product Design Lead, you will champion our mission to build and deliver cutting-edge digital financial products that go beyond borders, serving migrants and internationals across the U.S. and Latin America. You’ll shape the team’s vision, culture, and processes, fostering a high-performance design culture focused on innovation and finding beautiful solutions to complex challenges. You will mentor and inspire a growing team of product designers and content designers and drive effective collaboration between your team, Product Managers, and Developers.

This role is also responsible for driving the long-term development of our design practice and will continue the evolution of our Design System, ensuring high levels of quality, consistency, and scalability across MAJORITY's product ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Guide product design team and content design strategy through the full product lifecycle while promoting user-centricity, design excellence, and good design practices.
  • Set clear goals and priorities for the team, ensuring alignment with product vision, company strategy, and user needs.
  • Lead and mentor product design team members by providing thoughtful feedback, and creating opportunities for skill growth and career development.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between designers, product managers, and engineers, to deliver cohesive, user-centered solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management and engineering leadership on strategy, release planning, product architecture and execution of product roadmaps.
  • Oversee the team’s use of Design Systems, encouraging consistency and scalability while driving contributions to evolve our existing libraries, components, etc.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience working in-house on consumer-facing digital products and mobile app design.
  • Extensive experience with end-to-end product design process from discovery to implementation working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • You have a solid portfolio of product design work that demonstrates a high bar for visual design combined with an understanding of complex end to end product experiences
  • Experience integrating AI into work processes, driving decision-making, and using AI to solve problems.
  • You take ownership of the design process and are able to consider technical implication to make informed decisions and drive design work forward.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and technical problem-solving skills to contribute within a multi-functional and multi-disciplined team.   
  • Comfortable questioning the status quo, asking for feedback, and collaborating with a diverse team.
  • You are able to make design decisions from qualitative and quantitative perspectives as well as taking into account business insights.
  • You value inclusive and accessible design and make it a priority without compromising on creating beautiful user experiences.
