This position will report directly to the Principal Product Designer. We are seeking a Product Designer to support our efforts in building world-class solutions for our direct-to-consumer products, as well as our business partners. You will play a key role in building smart security products that people love.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Using your growing range of skills (UX design, design thinking, interaction design, prototyping, visual design) to contribute to elegant user experiences that span digital (mobile, web) and physical (devices) interfaces, guided by market and product requirements to solve real problems for real people.
  • Designing in collaboration with senior designers and taking initiative on specific product areas under guidance, contributing meaningfully throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Leveraging available quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and showing curiosity in identifying additional data sources when needed.
  • Communicating and collaborating closely with software product managers, category managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align on solutions.
  • Contributing ideas and advocating for refinements and improvements to the user experience, grounded in user feedback and design principles.
  • Working across the design stack: exploring problems, generating ideas, iterating on flows and interactions, building prototypes, and crafting high-fidelity visuals in support of design goals.
  • Participating in workshops and cross-functional sessions, contributing insights and supporting facilitation when appropriate.
  • Supporting user testing and research activities, helping plan sessions and analyze insights under the direction of senior team members or a researcher.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and ecosystem partners to help create unified, seamless user experiences across multiple digital and physical touchpoints.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of design experience, with 1 year focused on IoT products.
  • A BA/BS in design, UX/UI, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in Figma, prototyping, and collaborative design processes; familiarity with Jira.
  • Working knowledge of design systems and how to use them effectively within an established framework.
  • Familiarity with interaction design and prototyping tools like Protopie.
  • Strong visual design skills and an eye for polished, consistent interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles and a desire to grow expertise in designing for both digital interfaces and physical product interaction.
  • Understanding of Material Design and Apple’s human interface guidelines.
  • Awareness of Swift UI and Jetpack Compose capabilities is a plus.
  • Experience contributing to end-to-end product design as part of a cross-functional team (product, engineering, QA), in an agile environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; experience working effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • A proactive mindset, with a drive to solve user problems and contribute thoughtful design solutions.
  • Mastery in thinking holistically about user experiences across diverse product categories and focus on all possible states and micro-interactions with relentless attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with user journeys, use cases, and user modeling, and an eagerness to co-create these with product managers and researchers.
