Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the development, management and execution of group benefits product enhancements and product development associated with a particular product line the ancillary portfolio of products.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*    Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of combined experience in the majority of functional areas including group benefits underwriting, product compliance, product development, marketing analysis, within the insurance industry OR 8 years of group benefits underwriting, product compliance, product development or marketing analysis experience in lieu of a degree.

*    Experience effectively interacting with staff/management across multiple departments and levels, including executive leadership.

*    Experience building key relationships and understanding organization interdependencies

*    General business and financial analysis skills

*    Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, marketplace and competition

*    Strong analytical and information synthesis skills

*    Strong communication and persuasion skills

*    Project management skills, inclouding strong organization, prioritization and problem solving skills

*    Strong oral, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; experience accepting direction and feedback

*    Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects concurrently

*    Strong presentation and group facilitation skills

*    Initiative and persistence, with experience meeting deadlines

*    Experience working in a team environment

*    PC skills to include Excel, Access, and Word.

*    Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

*    Experience developing, guiding, or providing on-the-job training to staff.

*    Experience delivering presentations independently to external clients.

*    Knowledge of sales distribution activities.

*    Experience with development of products from inception to launch, and product introduction and monitoring for success or need for reengineering.

*    Sales and marketing techniques, knowledge of marketplace and competition, and underwriting knowledge.

*   Experience recommending and creating management strategies for product line that includes underwriting guidelines, renewal guidelines and assisting in pricing strategy development.

*    Management of external vendor relationships to support a product.

*    Ability to autonomously manage complex corporate projects.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*    Bachelor's degree in business, Mathematics or Insurance.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.
