About Us

Moonset Health (Summed AI, Inc.) is building the clinical co-pilot for senior post-acute care. Our mission: use speech and intelligence to remove documentation drag and make compliance effortless so clinicians can focus on patients. We partner closely with post-acute care teams, learn at the bedside, and ship improvements daily.

We are currently a team of six. The founding team brings experience from both Big Tech and multiple high-growth unicorn startups. You have probably used some of the features we’ve built in past lives.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and versatile software engineer to immediately join our early team. This is a high-ownership role with broad scope across engineering and product. You’ll work directly with the founders, talk to customers regularly, and help shape both the technical architecture and the culture of the company.

Key qualities we are looking for:

  • High ownership mentality: you care about outcomes, not just completed tickets
  • Comfortable working across frontend (React, React Native, Expo, TypeScript), backend (Python/FastAPI), and infrastructure (AWS)
  • Strong instincts for data modeling and how real-world workflows map into clean, consistent abstractions
  • Excited about practical applications of AI and LLMs in both products and engineering workflows
  • Ability to think clearly from first principles and challenge assumptions constructively
  • Motivated by ambiguity, fast iteration, and the zero-to-one phase of building a company

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in healthtech or other regulated industries
  • Experience scaling an early-stage company
  • Experience developing mobile applications

Why join us?

  • Low bureaucracy, high trust, and a bias toward getting shit done
  • An environment where strong reasoning and good ideas matter more than titles or convention
  • Modern tooling and thoughtful engineering practices
  • Be one of our earliest employees, shaping systems, product, and culture from the ground up
  • Competitive salary, equity, and mission-driven work that improves care for patients and clinicians
  • Work with a fun team! We're proud of our product, but we're just as proud of our friendly, open, closeknit culture. We're currently based in Capitol Hill but are planning to upgrade offices to accommodate our growing team.
