Inside the Role

As a DTNA Parts Product Segment Manager, you'll dive deep into market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to shape our product strategy. This highly collaborative position works cross-functionally to understand market trends, evaluate customer needs, and develop innovative pricing and promotion strategies. You'll partner closely with suppliers, purchasing, pricing, and sales teams to optimize our product portfolio and pricing. Through qualitative and quantitative research, you'll identify opportunities for new products and line extensions. Supplier evaluation, negotiation support, and distribution planning are key parts of ensuring we deliver a winning product mix. Additionally, you'll create impactful marketing campaigns and develop training programs to drive product knowledge across our networks. We Take Care of Our Team

Position offers a starting salary range of $104,000 - $133,000 USD 

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience  

 

Benefits include annual bonus program; 401k company contribution with company match up to 6% as well as non-elective company contribution of 3 - 7% depending on age; starting at 4 weeks paid vacation; 13+ calendar holidays; 8 weeks paid parental leave; employee assistance program; comprehensive healthcare plans and wellness programs; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuition assistance and volunteer paid time off; short-term and long-term disability plans.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to understand product demand, competitive landscape, pricing strategies, and emerging trends across the parts and Develop and execute innovative product marketing strategies, promotions and sales programs to achieve strategic goals and drive profitable growth.

  • Manage the product portfolio lifecycle - from defining new product requirements through product line extensions and consolidations.

  • Perform in-depth competitive analysis and market segmentation to identify opportunities and optimize pricing models.

  • Collaborate with engineering on product design input to consolidate parts and control product proliferation.

  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and negotiate contracts that meet DTNA's quality, cost and service objectives.

  • Develop pricing strategies, market segmentation models and demand forecasting for assigned product families.

  • Create marketing communications plans to effectively promote products, programs and pricing to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support purchasing negotiations by providing data-driven supplier evaluations and customer acceptance analysis.

  • Establish inventory strategies across distribution channels, including stocking levels and replenishment planning.

  • Travel to dealer events and facilitate product training, promotional activities and capture voice of customer feedback.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field from an accredited college/university and prefer 2 years of relevant experience in sales, market research, product management, pricing analysis or marketing OR 6 years of experience in lieu of degree

  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze data to extract insights and develop strategic recommendations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Working knowledge of parts distribution and inventory management best practices

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI and other data visualization software

  • Strong business acumen with a track record of driving profitable growth initiatives

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • MBA or other advanced degree in business, marketing, or a related field

  • Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, segmentation studies and customer needs assessments

  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management principles

  • Prior experience in managing supplier relationships

  • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate recommendations to executive leadership

  • Multi-lingual capabilities to support a diverse customer and dealer base
