Job Title: Product Manager, Sustainability Solutions

Department: Sustainability Solutions

Location: Remote

Reports To: VP of Product Management, Sustainability Solutions

The Opportunity

This role is central to executing the vision for our Next-Gen Sustainability Solutions platform. The Product Manager will be the primary engine driving tactical execution and user story definition, translating the high-level strategic roadmap set by the VP of Product Management into world-class software. You will focus on accelerating our platform modernization initiative and ensuring that every feature we build is directly aligned with a quantifiable, underserved customer outcome. This is a role for an energetic executor who thrives in bridging customer pain, technical requirements, and business value within a high-growth environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTactical Execution & Backlog Ownership
  • Own and manage the entire product backlog for a designated strategic area, translating strategic themes into actionable feature sets.
  • Lead daily execution planning, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings with the Product Engineering team, serving as the Agile expert.
  • Exceptional Storytelling & Acceptance: Define, write, and prioritize detailed job and user stories that are clear, concise, and complete. Critically, you will own the definition of done and collaborate on acceptance criteria, ensuring every feature meets the highest standard before release.
  • Mastery of Product Tools: Own the day-to-day management and structure of the product backlog within Jira, including story mapping, sizing, and dependency tracking.
Product Development Partnership
  • Engineering Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact and dedicated partner to the Product Engineering team. You will spend significant time with engineers clarifying requirements, managing trade-offs, and ensuring technical solutions map efficiently to customer outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance Partnership: Work closely with QA/Testing to define test cases based on user stories and ensure thorough regression testing is performed prior to deployment.
  • Define and track key product performance indicators (KPIs) related to adoption, usage, and customer satisfaction (CSAT) for delivered features.
Customer-Centric Execution
  • Customer Validation & Feedback Loop: Support the strategic roadmap by executing targeted user interviews (qualitative) and synthesizing findings to validate job and user stories and acceptance criteria defined by the VP. You will own the process of bringing user feedback directly into the sprint and engineering cycle.
  • Analyze user behavior data, support tickets, and sales feedback to identify user workflow inefficiencies and friction points within the existing platform.
  • Partner with Product Design to iterate on prototypes and user interface (UI) mockups, ensuring optimal usability and experience.
Preferred QualificationsWho You Are

Required: Execution Excellence (Technical & Agile)

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • You possess 3-5 years of direct Product Management experience in a software (SaaS) environment.
  • Deeply proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and managing backlogs in platforms like Jira or Asana.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate day-to-day with a Product Engineering (Development) team, translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • Exceptional Writing Skills: Proven ability to author clear, high-quality, and actionable user stories that minimize ambiguity for the development team.
  • Highly analytical and proficient in synthesizing quantitative data (usage metrics) and qualitative insights (customer interviews) into a clear execution plan.

Nice To Have: Domain Knowledge

  • Prior experience with B2B compliance, ESG reporting, real estate technology, or utility data management is a strong plus, but not required.
  • Domain knowledge will be learned and provided; core execution skill is paramount.
