About the role

This role is designed for an experienced product marketer looking for an opportunity to provide leadership for marketing strategy and operations across our manufacturing line of business.  You will define our strategy, clarify our value proposition, hone our message, and expand our presence in the market.  The role reports to the Chief Product Officer but will will work collaboratively with the business unit head, sales, business development, and product management dedicated to growing our core business.

In this role you will wear many hats, but these will be your primary responsibilities:

  • Be a go-to authority on Viaduct’s unique selling proposition (USP)
    • You will segment the market, intimately study key buyer/user persona, and know the ecosystem inside and out.  
    • You will know how our products are used to improve operations and generate value.
    • You should be the first person people go to for competitive intelligence.  
    • You will support business development with insights about who to partner with.
    • You will partner with product managers to steer the product roadmap 
    • You will partner with product managers to align pricing and packaging for the field
    • You will partner with product managers to enable the field (executives, sales, customer success) with effective presentations and demonstrations.
  • Create clear and compelling content 
    • Work with the field to prioritize needs and define a content roadmap.
    • Develop a messaging framework, working with other stakeholders to get it just right.
    • Choose the best mediums for delivering our message (social posts, product sheets, white papers, slides, videos, and demos).
    • Create and manage the delivery of content across mediums.
    • Develop thought-leadership for different audiences (business execs to IT).
  • Partner with sales and BD to amplify our message and drive demand 
    • define a marketing plan for your line of business
    • develop and manage a calendar for events, content development, and campaigns.
    • run campaigns to raise awareness, generate leads, and convert opportunities
    • take the stage, do demonstrations, and make connections while evangelizing Viaduct at industry and 3rd party events.
Minimum experience 
  • 6-10 years working in enterprise or B2B software
  • At least 3 years in a product marketing role working with very technical products
  • Minimum BS / BA 
  • You have a proven track record of creating differentiated and compelling content for marketing, sales, and customer-success across.
  • You have managed a marketing calendar.
  • You have executed and managed programs to increase awareness and generate demand.
Preferred experience
  • You have worked in one or more of these domains: 
    • Manufacturing information systems (MES, QMS, PLM, or IIoT), 
    • Fleet Mgt, Field Service Management
    • Business Intelligence (data science, analytics, reporting), 
  • You have a mix of experience in startups and established companies
  • You have worked on products with different maturity levels from V0.5 to V5.0
Security and Privacy Responsibilities: 
  • Follow our policy and procedure documents related to security and privacy.
  • Follow the guidelines in the Employee Handbook.
  • Participate in new hire and annual training for security and privacy.
  • Treat data security and privacy as one of your primary job responsibilities.
  • Report Security Incidents you discover as bugs in Jira and let the Security team know.
