Internal Data Analytics Product Owner
The Data Analytics Product Owner is responsible for defining, delivering, and driving adoption of internal analytics solutions that address the data needs of business teams at First Advantage. This role focuses exclusively on internal stakeholders and does not cover external or client-facing analytics. The Product Owner translates business requirements into scalable analytics products, including dashboards and curated data sets, partners with engineering teams for delivery, ensures privacy and compliance, and champions governed self-service data usage to reduce ad hoc reporting and manual analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage with internal business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and prioritize enterprise data and analytics requirements.
- Own and manage the internal analytics product roadmap and backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and organizational objectives.
- Translate stakeholder needs into well-defined analytics product features, epics, and user stories for delivery by engineering teams.
- Design and oversee the delivery of function-specific dashboards and governed, curated data tables to enable self-service analytics for internal users.
- Collaborate with Data Analytics Engineering teams on dashboard development and Data Engineering teams on building certified data sets for analytics consumption.
- Drive user enablement, training, and change management to maximize adoption of analytics products and reduce dependency on manual Excel-based reporting.
- Define and track adoption, usage, and value metrics for analytics solutions; continuously improve products based on feedback and performance insights.
- Partner with privacy, security, and governance teams to ensure confidentiality, compliance, and appropriate access controls across all internal analytics solutions.

Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or senior analytics roles with direct responsibility for stakeholder-facing analytics solutions.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with business teams, data engineering, and analytics engineering to deliver data products.
- Hands-on experience delivering dashboards and analytics solutions using BI tools (Power BI preferred).
- Experience translating business needs into actionable analytics requirements and driving stakeholder alignment.
- Candidates will be expected to complete a case-based exercise involving a hypothetical business problem and sample dashboard during the interview process.
- Strong understanding of business metrics and KPIs and how they connect to broader organizational objectives.
- Ability to influence changes in how data is consumed and decisions are made across internal teams.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with data governance, data privacy, and self-service analytics principles is highly desirable
