The Team You Will Join
This position will be part of the Employer Solution Train within MetLife Group Benefits. We're seeking someone to join the Employer Digital Agile Release Train to help enable digital solutions within MetLife. This Employer Digital ART is one of many ART's that play a critical role in driving improvements to the Employers Experience with MetLife.
The Opportunity
The Product Owner (PO) for the Employer Digital Team is responsible for the customer experience within our Employer/Sponsor, Benefit Administration, and Broker Portals. This role will share accountability with Product Managers for delivery outcomes and make decisions to provide the best customer experience. You lead the creation and alignment of business requirements and supporting details for product feature development & testing, so they are clearly understood by the agile teams. You prioritize a backlog of items that will improve the stability and drive enhanced business value of the applications. You will use SAFE Agile to manage the flow of work, and Adobe Analytics to understand system usage & benefit drivers.
This is a critical role with significant accountability to build and manage relationships and responsibilities across the ART & Solution Train. POs work closely with the Scrum Master, team members, Product Management, Customers, Business Owners, and other stakeholders to create viable and sustainable plans. They constantly seek feedback from stakeholders & feedback tools incorporating the feedback into their plans.
This role plays an important role in ensuring MetLife provides an industry leading benefit administration portal for our customers. It will require a strong understanding of how insurance products are utilized by our customers, and how they can & should be able to service their employees benefit needs through MetLife Digital Portals.
This candidate should have experience building & maintaining a Login & Registration experience for digital portals, as well as a strong understanding of the personas that typically access an employer experience. This candidate should have an understanding of how Benefit Administrators, Brokers, Third Party Administrators, and General Agents support customers in the insurance industry. This role will be responsible for ensuring we deliver and maintain an industry leading administration portal for our customers.

  • Create & maintain a prioritized Backlog for your ADM Team
  • Obtain & review feedback on user experiences
  • Gain alignment with Operational Readiness & Group Business stakeholders for delivery
  • Meet daily with your ADM Team to review work & alignment

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
  • Digital Insurance Administration Portal background
  • Experience writing user stories / business requirements
  • Adobe Analytics / Cognos Reporting tools
  • Positive attitude with the ability to lead a team
  • Strong Problem-solving skills

  • Agile / SAFE ADM knowledge / certifications
  • Azure Dev Ops / Target Process

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
