Product Security Engineer Intern 

What is iManage U? 

iManage U provides students the chance to experience a dynamic, rapid growth technology company firsthand.  iManage will provide a structured program which delivers project-based activities, improved knowledge of business fundamentals, tackling complex problem solving, collaboration, team building, and some fun experiences along the way!  This year, our paid internship program will kick-off on Monday, June 2nd and will run through Friday, August 8th. 

This internship will be based out of our downtown Chicago office, with regular activities requiring in-person presence.

  • iM A Mentee: Learn from teammates across departments & gain perspectives from a diversity of people   
  • iM A Connector: Meet & connect with as many interns and iManage employees as possible    
  • iM Inspired: Learn from our leadership team and ask questions during our lunch and learns   
  • iM Social: Enjoy intern events, and everything iManage has to offer this summer   

Being an intern within our Product Security Team means….   

Joining our team of Software Engineers who are the heart of our company here at iManage. In this internship, you will have the opportunity to work with the team that guides the global engineering teams on security considerations as well as improve application security at iManage. We operate on a Zero-Trust approach, and so you will play an integral role in the continued maintenance of our Zero-Trust architecture for enhanced security. Our focus is ensuring that our developers are shipping secure code and we want your help to do it. If you have a strong passion for development and learning new technologies along the way, come and join our Security Group this summer!   

iM Responsible For…    

  • Learning about and conducting threat modelling and risk analysis to identify exposure and develop mitigation plans 
  • Working with product and developer team to conduct security reviews and define security requirements 
  • Researching, identifying, and investigating vulnerabilities in our application as well as calculating risks and assisting with remediation process 
  • Manual penetration testing of web applications and supporting infrastructure
  • Document findings and help maintain security reports and remediation tracking

iM Qualified Because I Have…    

  • Been pursuing your Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 
  • Web technology experience like HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc. 
  • Web protocol experience like Http, Https, Web sockets, etc. 
  • Have a basic understanding of fundamental security concepts of Confidentiality, Integrity. and Availability
  • Knowledge of web proxies like Burp, OWASP Zap, Fiddler, etc.    
  • Excellent written and communication skills
