Title: Director, Digital Product Management

Location: Buffalo Grove or Chicago

Company Summary:
Zoro.com is an eCommerce company that sells business supplies, equipment, and tools—but we’re much more than just a website. We’re a team of people who win and lose together (we prefer winning!). Since 2011, Zoro has been working hard to make it easy for our customers to purchase everything they need to make their businesses go. Zoro currently offers 3 million products, fast and free shipping, no-hassle returns, and exceptional customer service. We’ve grown quickly in a short time, recently surpassing 400 team members and reaching annual revenue of over $500 million. Add to that our award-winning culture—we were named a Great Place to Work for 2019-20, among other accolades—and we think Zoro is a pretty amazing place to work and grow.

Primary Function:
The Digital Product Team at Zoro has grown from the ground up over the past year and has worked with the support and direction of senior leadership to actively self-organize with software engineering and QA, design, and the project management organizations to form functioning agile scrum teams, build product strategies, roadmaps, and backlogs in order to deliver customer value via Zoro.com, our most productive and visible channel. We are looking for an experienced Digital Product leader who can help take this fledgling team to the next level and collaborate strategically across the organization to deliver an awesome customer experience.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be charged with planning and maturing Zoro’s Digital Product organization and have integral influence over the vision and strategy of Zoro’s website and the product organization’s influence and outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

An Insider's view of Zoro

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

The autonomy with which I collaborate with people across our growing company is my favorite aspect of being on the Zoro team. I have the trust and freedom to solve fun problems daily with experts in engineering, design, supply chain, marketing, architecture, and dozens more. The bonus is having the privilege to be my true self in every interaction.

Geremy

Sr. Manager, Project Management

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I was given the opportunity to broaden my experience by moving into the Finance org. With this move, I have gained a new perspective, which has resulted in an evolving approach to solve business problems. I attribute much of my success and growth to my team, peers, and leadership, and am thankful for their continued support and mentorship.

Nimit

Sr. Manager, Finance

What does your typical day look like?

As a Financial Analyst with Zoro’s Finance team, my typical day starts with generating daily sales reports and sending it over to our headquarters. Then, I talk to business unit owners and gather information that would impact our financials. Zoro has an encouraging collaborative environment…everyone is easily approachable!

Margaret

Sr. Financial Analyst
