Position Summary:

Pareto Intelligence is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to grow and lead our Software/Data Engineering team. The team will mainly be responsible for all of Software/Data Engineering efforts at Pareto and building high performance, enterprise platform for Healthcare Analytics.


You’ll help shape and define the engineering development roadmap as part of the continuous evolution and innovation of our technology platform architecture. 

The Engineering team works closely with the Product Management, Data Science and Advisory teams to help design our products/solutions. Our work process is a nice blend of agile and design-oriented development which puts the customer experience first and foremost. 

We are mostly full stack developers with exposure to everything – front-end, back-end, machine learning and everything in between. The collaborative nature of the team allows you to constantly learn new things and mentor others.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus is on driving the tactical day-to-day product delivery process, including removing impediments that kill productivity or block the team’s progress.
  • Work closely with product, solutions delivery teams to ensure agreed upon backlog items are prioritized, developed and released.
  • Coordinate with other product/solutions managers, engineering, and product leads to identify and manage cross-team dependencies.
  • Communicate on behalf of the product and/or engineering leads when required.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to determine the success criteria for delivery.
  • Provide execution and delivery leadership to the product teams to deliver high-quality products in committed timeframes.
  • Foster productive collaboration between the engineering and other disparate functions, teams, and departments
  • Set a high standard for Software Development Practices: quality code, test coverage, comments, collaboration, and avoiding shortcuts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be highly motivated and pushes teams to strive for greatness
  • Experienced in building and contributing to diverse and inclusive environments
  • Has years of experience leading or managing software engineers
  • Has years of experience building software and/or hardware for consumer electronics
  • Has a degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Experienced as a people manager successfully coaching direct reports into achieving their goals
  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get into the code if necessary
  • Broad and solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, software design, and distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, including creative problem solving. Ability to provide technical thought leadership at various organizational levels.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
