Job Summary
Responsible for the development of technical product understanding for H3 products in order to improve the H3 product onboarding experience, reduce time and build proficiency to drive an improved customer experience. The successful candidate will have a “roll-up your sleeves” approach and be able to flex between interacting / influencing senior level audiences and the written technical process development components of the role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for improving the H3 product experience in order to reduce time and build proficiency to drive an improved customer experience. This role is focused on the written operational procedure development, tracking, delivery and execution of the H3 product experience.
  • Translates technical processes into technical documentation for products and tools used by product developers and end users, both internally and externally.
  • Interprets and answers technical questions about documents. Creates reliable documents that enhance productivity across teams.
  • Develops and prepares procedural and operational materials for H3 products. Leads procedural design, development and delivery and ensures that product procedural content is created in accordance with business objectives and timelines. Designs and may perform product demonstrations during training sessions.
  • Uses knowledge and understanding of current product use and application. Coordinates the staffing and scheduling of in-house and field procedural understanding.
  • Manages multiple procedural and operational projects concurrently. Assists with the management and execution of project schedules to ensure milestones, budget, and resources are advancing accordingly.
  • Determines methodology; and coordinates the development of procedural aids. Conducts procedural sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of operational activities. Continuously revises operational plans to ensure procedural material reflect product features, meet new procedural requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
  • Provides direction and feedback on topics such as content clarity, topic specificity, and content flow.
  • Partners with H3 leaders and Learning & Development SMEs to determine the learning strategy and the material creation approach for H3 products.
  • Collaborates closely with Product Managers, internal subject matter experts, Engineers and the core business to create effective product materials.
  • Manages the onboarding and new device set-up for H3 products, including the touchpoint coordination across multiple IT areas.
  • Partners with Walgreens Operations Training to ensure a full on-boarding experience is received.
  • May develop and mentor staff or oversee work of contractors.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of experience developing/delivering technical or operational processes and/or developing/delivering healthcare or technical content OR High School/GED and at least 4 years of experience developing/delivering technical or operational processes and/or developing/delivering healthcare or technical content.
  • Experience performing assessments and identifying needs
  • Technical writing experience
  • Experience delivering technical content by adjusting style, tools and technique depending on audience
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team and influencing others.
  • Willing to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in technical writing
  • At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross functional team leadership.
