Product Operations Specialist
Hireology’s technology empowers businesses to build great teams. Over the last ten years, we’ve grown from a startup to a market-leading organization with over 165 team members, and we’ve created an award-winning culture that makes this company an amazing place to work.
It is with that in mind that Hireology is looking to add an experienced Product Operations Specialist to our Product Operations team to oversee daily operations of a variety of product offerings and provide support to the product team through project management and process efficiency initiatives.
As our Product Operations Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing daily operations of Hireology’s programmatic recruiting product, App Engine
- Managing programmatic vendor relationships to ensure high-impact delivery for our customers
- Managing transactional sourcing campaigns including scoping, setup, execution, and reporting
- Building and maintaining a growing inventory of proprietary Career Sites using Hireology’s in-house CMS platform, Spark
- Reporting on key KPIs related to the role and Product Operations
- Ad hoc project management for key strategic product projects such as Pricing & Bundling or Hiring Steps overhaul
So what kind of person are we looking for in this role? We have a pretty unique culture here at Hireology, and the person who will be successful in this role will be:
- Customer-focused: Everything we do is for our customers. This role requires a lot of empathy for Hireology customers as well as the internal teams that use and support our products. You should approach everything through the lens of how it impacts our customers.
- Organized: You can handle a high volume of varied requests without skipping a beat—everything from hopping on a call with customers or vendors; to developing a new Google Analytics report outlining a career site’s performance; to overhauling and re-training team members on new tools or processes.
- Efficient: Product Operations evaluates existing processes to look for opportunities for improvement. You should always be looking for ways to reduce waste and make things easier, faster, and more accurate.
- Metrics-driven: Data informs everything we do. You should be comfortable collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to illustrate your decision-making process and make it easier for partners to digest what you’re saying
Okay, we’ve laid out what the job is - now are you qualified? Below are the minimum qualifications we’re looking for in a Product Operations Specialist candidate. Also, we want a chance to get to know who you are and why you applied, so please include a cover letter.
- 1-2 years of related experience in account management or project management
- Experience with data analysis and reporting—Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets
- Familiarity with SQL and/or data visualization platforms (like Tableau or Looker)
- Able to effectively communicate with varied stakeholder groups including customers, vendors, and internal teams from teammates all the way up to senior leadership
- Content creation & copyediting experience (somewhere between short-form copywriting and longer editorialized content)
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop or comparable image editing software
- Experience with project management tools (Wrike, Basecamp, Product Plan)
So what can you expect after you apply? You will:
- Take a brief true/false survey. Be sure to check your email after submitting your application.
- Have a phone conversation with someone on our Recruiting team. This is a high-level conversation about you, but also a good opportunity for you to learn more about us.
- Meet with various members of our Product team.
- Provide us with some references. We use our automated reference check system for this, so you just give us some names, they fill out a survey, and we are all set.
- Speak with a member of our senior leadership team. If you have made it this far, just be yourself, and everything will be fine
