Job Purpose:

Our Plant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations within the manufacturing plant to ensure optimal production efficiency, safety, and quality. This role involves coordinating manufacturing activities of corrugated carters and inner packaging, supervising production teams, enforcing safety protocols, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

● Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production output, quality standards, and efficiency targets are consistently met, coordinating with team members and departments as needed.
● Monitor and inspect machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance, reporting maintenance needs and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
● Train, supervise, and evaluate production staff, ensuring proper operation of equipment, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with company procedures.
● Maintain accurate inventory of materials such as sheets, inks, and other supplies, while ensuring timely data entry, tracking, and retrieval of production information.
● Inspect work in progress and finished goods for quality compliance, interpret job specifications, and adjust workflows to resolve issues or improve results.
● Identify and implement process improvements, recommending changes in methods, equipment, or work conditions to boost plant efficiency and product quality.
● Handle shift transition communication to ensure seamless operations and prepare performance evaluations while addressing any disciplinary issues or performance concerns.
● Analyze production reports and operational data to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, reduce costs, and prevent delays in workflow or delivery.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● May work day, evening, night, or rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Work Experience:

● 3-5 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

Education:

● High School Diploma/GED Preferred

Working Conditions:
The work environment for this position requires:
● Regularly working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where exposure to cold, heat, damp or humid conditions may occur.
● Exposure to loud noise.
● Exposure to dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles.

Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements listed below are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 
● Ability to lift, twist and carry up 50 - 75 pounds, manipulate (push and pull) up to 160 pounds of product with material handling equipment and skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds utilizing pallet jack.
● Walking/Standing - walk throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders. Stand when operating order picker or reach truck equipment and when operating cutter.
● Sitting - sit only when driving sit-down material handling equipment.  
● Lifting - lift items weighing a few ounces up to 150 pounds with assistance .
● Stooping - performed when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations. May bend at the waist.
● Kneeling -  kneel when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations.
