About Us

Fieldguide is establishing a new state of trust for global commerce and capital markets through automating and streamlining the work of assurance and audit practitioners specifically within cybersecurity, privacy, and financial audit. Put simply, we build software for the people who enable trust between businesses.

We’re based in San Francisco, CA, but built as a remote-first company that enables you to do your best work from anywhere. We're backed by top investors including Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Bessemer Venture Partners, 8VC, Floodgate, Y Combinator, DNX Ventures, Global Founders Capital, Justin Kan, Elad Gil, and more.

We value diversity — in backgrounds and in experiences. We need people from all backgrounds and walks of life to help build the future of audit and advisory. Fieldguide’s team is inclusive, driven, humble and supportive. We are deliberate and self-reflective about the kind of team and culture that we are building, seeking teammates that are not only strong in their own aptitudes but care deeply about supporting each other's growth.

As an early stage start-up employee, you’ll have the opportunity to build out the future of business trust. We make audit practitioners’ lives easier by bringing together up to 50% of their work and giving them better work-life balance. If you share our values and enthusiasm for building a great culture and product, you will find a home at Fieldguide.

About the Role

We're looking for a Program Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex, cross-functional programs. You'll partner closely with Leadership, Engineering, Product, Sales, Finance, and Operations to keep initiatives aligned with business goals, on schedule, and within budget. This role suits someone who thrives on structure in ambiguous environments — someone who can turn a loosely defined initiative into a well-scoped program with clear owners, milestones, and metrics.

What You'll Do

Program & Project Execution

  • Own end-to-end delivery of strategic programs, from scoping through launch, ensuring alignment with company goals, timelines, and budget.

  • Define scopes, schedules, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders, and keep everyone communicating clearly as plans evolve.

  • Track progress against milestones, reallocating resources as needed to keep programs on track.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the connective tissue between multiple organizations, keeping strategies and priorities aligned across teams.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders or vendors, making sure information flows both ways.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Spot technical, financial, and operational risks early, and build mitigation plans before they become blockers.

  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise and keep programs moving despite shifting circumstances.

Metrics & Reporting

  • Define KPIs that reflect the health and impact of each program, and report on them to leadership.

  • Use data to inform prioritization decisions and to continuously improve how programs are run.

Change Management

  • Lead the rollout of new tools, processes, and workflows tied to program execution, with attention to adoption and minimal disruption.

  • Support end users through transitions, including training and documentation as needed.

Capacity Planning

  • Partner with CS leadership to forecast resourcing needs and support headcount/capacity planning tied to roadmap execution.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current on program management best practices and SaaS industry trends, and bring in new tools or frameworks that raise the bar on execution.

About You
  • Experience: 5+ years managing complex, cross-functional programs, ideally within SaaS, enterprise software, or a related technical environment.

  • Technical fluency: Comfortable working alongside product experts and translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders (and vice versa).

  • Project Management Tools: Familiar with tools like Monday.com, Jira, Asana, Linear, or similar, and comfortable operating within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communicator who can flex style across execs, engineers, and external partners.

  • Analytical mindset: Comfortable defining and tracking KPIs, and using data to make the case for prioritization or process changes.

  • Adaptability: Energized rather than rattled by ambiguity and a fast-changing roadmap.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.

  • Certified: PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, or similar project/program management certification.

Bonus Points
  • Experience working with or selling into large enterprise or Big 4-style customers.

  • Background in Audit & Accounting.

  • Background in a regulated or compliance-adjacent space (security, privacy, audit, fintech, etc.).

  • Prior experience scaling PM practices at an early- or growth-stage startup.
