Caravel | BPM Technology Solutions
Project Coordinator (Accounting)
Delivery Operations / PMO (TSS) · Full-time · Remote — Austin, TX or Southern California (US hours) · Early career
About CaravelCaravel | BPM Technology Solutions is an award-winning NetSuite and Salesforce partner and part of BPM LLP, a Top-40 accounting and advisory firm. For 20+ years and 1,000+ implementations we've helped businesses across North America put the right technology to work — honestly, and without the usual consulting theater. We're a fully remote team with delivery centers across the US, Canada, India, and the Philippines.
About the roleThis is a launchpad role for an early-career accounting grad who likes organization, numbers, and seeing how the work actually gets done. As a Project Coordinator, you'll keep our consulting engagements on track and on-budget — managing schedules, tracking utilization, and supporting the billing and finance side of delivery. You'll sit at the intersection of delivery and finance, work alongside senior consultants, and build the foundation to grow toward a consulting career. You'll be billable to client work within about two months and ramp toward full utilization over your first year.
What you'll do- Keep engagements on track — build and maintain project schedules, track milestones and deliverables, and flag risks before they slip.
- Track consultant time, resourcing, and utilization across engagements so the delivery picture stays current.
- Support billing and finance — prepare and review time-and-expense entries, assist with invoicing, and help keep billing accurate and on time.
- Administer SOWs and change orders, and keep project documentation and status reporting clean and up to date.
- Coordinate across delivery teams, consultants, and clients on schedules, status, and logistics.
- Partner with the PMO and finance to improve realization, reduce revenue leakage, and tighten collections (DSO).
- A bachelor's degree in accounting (or a closely related field) — recent graduate or early-career.
- Strong organization and attention to detail; you keep many moving pieces straight without dropping any.
- Comfort with numbers and spreadsheets (Excel), and genuine interest in how a services business runs and bills.
- Clear written and verbal communication — you can chase a status update without chasing people off.
- Ability to work US business hours, based in Austin, TX or Southern California.
- A proactive, ownership mindset — you spot what needs doing and get it done.
- Internship or coursework in accounting, finance, or professional-services operations.
- Exposure to NetSuite, a PSA/project tool (OpenAir, Kantata/Mavenlink, Smartsheet), or billing/T&E systems.
- Familiarity with consulting delivery, statements of work, or revenue-recognition basics.
Full-time, remote — based in Austin, TX or Southern California, working core US business hours.
