Position Overview

As a Project Engineer at Thermosystems, you will be a technical resource on a sales team putting together HVAC equipment selections, proposals, and submittals. You’ll work on a fast-paced applied sales team assisting mechanical design engineers and contractors in the design and execution of HVAC projects for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects. Thermosystems provides a comprehensive training program covering HVAC fundamentals and product specific training for new team members.

Location: Elmhurst, IL - Hybrid

Responsibilities

  • Generate accurate cost estimates and proposals for HVAC equipment and related systems

  • Analyze plans, specifications, and other construction documentation to prepare proposals

  • Assist the sales team with HVAC equipment selections for engineers and contractors in professional and timely manner

  • Prepare technical documentation for equipment selections/submittals

  • Learn and stay current on HVAC products and applications

  • Develop relationships with application engineers, vendors, and customers

  • Ability to collaborate in team-driven environment

  • All other duties assigned.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite and general computer software/applications. Familiarity with Bluebeam a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical engineering or related discipline) is required.

  • Proven experience in an engineering role

  • 2+ years of experience in the HVAC industry preferred

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 - $100,00 in Illinois. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
