Zachry Engineering Corporation is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to lead the successful execution of mid-size to large engineering projects and client portfolios. This role is ideal for a project leader who thrives at the intersection of client engagement, project delivery, team leadership, and business performance.

As a Project Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients while directing multidisciplinary teams to safely deliver high-quality engineering solutions on schedule and within budget. You will play a critical role in driving project profitability, strengthening client partnerships, and supporting the continued growth of Zachry Engineering.

Zachry is growing rapidly with a strong program of power generation as well as energy and chemicals industry projects. This role is a great opportunity to execute projects through various stages of their life cycle.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of mid-size to large engineering projects and programs.
  • Establish and manage project boundaries, scope, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Drive project performance to meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, and schedule expectations.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, design, procurement, and support teams.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary interface between Zachry Engineering and key client stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and exceptional service.
  • Understand client business objectives and align project execution strategies to support their goals.
  • Support proposal development, estimating activities, and project pursuit strategies

Financial & Operational Performance

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, profitability, and cash flow performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and effective management of project changes and scope.

Team Leadership

  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to project teams.
  • Foster a culture aligned with Zachry’s core values
  • Support employee development and promote effective communication across project stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, design, EPC, consulting, or industrial project environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing mid-size to large projects and/or client portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, budgeting, scheduling, interface and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience serving industrial, energy, chemical, power, manufacturing, or infrastructure clients.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
