As Project Manager II, you will oversee all aspects of small projects or defined phases of larger initiatives and manage collaborations with external partners, including the operational and transactional components of research partnerships from start to finish. In this role, you will interact regularly with leadership and manage multiple projects across several organizations while overseeing project timelines, deliverables, reporting and operational workflows to ensure alignment with Cleveland Clinic Research priorities. This position is responsible for coordinating all meeting logistics, including cross-institutional scheduling, material preparation, action item tracking and travel arrangements, while ensuring scientific projects are executed on schedule, within scope and in accordance with institutional and sponsor requirements.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Manage all aspects of small projects or phases of larger projects.
Coordinate the activities of a project team under the direction of a Project Manager III or IV.
Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
Prepare and complete action plans.
Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
Resolve problems.
Completes audits and identify trends.
Determine system improvements and implement changes.
Meet financial objectives by participating in developing forecasting requirements.
Participate in preparing an annual budget and scheduling expenditures.
Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field and three years of experience coordinating or managing various projects
OR High School Diploma/GED and seven years of experience
OR Associate’s Degree and five years of experience
OR Master’s Degree and two years of experience
Effective relationship building skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Project Management Certification (PMP)
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science
Managed projects requiring the completion of sequential steps while coordinating with multiple customers and stakeholders
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience using project management software (such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, Smartsheet, or similar tools)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites.
