Overview of the Position Responsibilities: Our Project Manager - Market Expansion will be responsible for managing Bluepeak's market expansion efforts. In addition to day-to-day project management duties, experience in managing fiber network builds is a must. As a Project Manager you will oversee project-level activities for all products for a given geographic territory, including but not limited to managing activities for installations of cable and fiber network expansion. You will partner cross-functionally to ensure assigned projects are completed on-time and within budget. The Project Manager position serves as liaison between the customer and the project team. What You Will Do:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a well rounded and experienced individual who can efficiently manage their work to comply with deadlines.
  • Actively manage all project-level activities with internal and external resources to meet deadlines within budget and within specification throughout entire expansion effort
  • Ensure accurate reporting and forecasting of project timelines, resources, and capital expenditures by partnering and communicating with internal cross-functional teams
  • Be accountable for all deployment activities including but not limited to RF design, leasing, due diligence, architectural/engineering, zoning, permitting, project management, construction management, system acceptance, NOC integration, and closeout packages
  • Serve as the single point of contact at the project level for all customer escalations and as the active leader in all project-level deployment meetings and calls, providing up-to-date and accurate information on customer priorities, project status, forecasts, aging, and issue resolutions
  • Responsible for capital expenditures. Ensure adherence to design standards and compliance with master service agreements with installation contractors, while understanding and adhering to applicable construction and safety standards
  • Serves as lead for the design on multiple large/complex projects
  • Reviews calculations and drawings for permits and construction. Perform quality checks and designed prints with specifications, standards, practices and guidelines
  • Knowledgeable in industry specifications and fiber network builds
  • Maintains all project documentation and filing
  • Manages and monitors budgeting, scheduling, and scoping tasks on multiple projects
  • Able to read and understand system designs to ensure proper construction of underground fiber optics
  • Daily and weekly reporting on project milestones and updates
  • Ability to go into the field on an as needed basis
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Project Manager Certification preferred
  • Upon job offer, must be able to complete a background check and a drug test prior to employment
  • Previous Project Management experience with 3+ years’ experience in the telecommunications/fiber optic industry preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
  • Ability to use advanced project management tools
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally
  • Knowledge and understanding of inside/outside plant fiber optic network infrastructures
  • Prior experience with RFP’s, pricing/rates, and bidding within the telecom industry
  • Prior fiber fielding experience
  • Knowledge of constructability practices and principles
  • Effective time management with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadline.
  • MS Office software, Great Plains software, Internet software, e-mail, order processing, inventory, and database software 

Salary range: $60,000 - $78,000
