Job Description

Position Overview

The Project Manager in this role will primarily work on marketing-stage development projects with a focus on commercial contracting and facilitating the transition from development to construction. Strong communication skills and the ability to form partnerships and influence key stakeholders are essential for this position. 

Responsibilities

Late-Stage Development/Marketing Stage Projects

  • Understand and communicate commercial bid readiness and contracting readiness for approximately 15 late-stage development/marketing stage projects.

  • Work closely with Invenergy Development and Engineering teams to understand key project risks, cost drivers, and schedule constraints.

  • Evaluate cost and schedule risks and propose solutions.

  • Create and manage project schedules and cash flows.

  • Work closely with the Invenergy Estimating team to ensure construction budgets align with project risks, cost drivers, and opportunities.

Shortlisted and Contracting Projects

  • Create and manage project execution plan.

  • Lead Build Transfer Agreement technical negotiations.

  • Support PPA negotiations.

  • Prepare, negotiate and manage EPC contracts.

  • Lead and facilitate intake from Development to Project Management.

Projects in Construction

  • Manage projects in construction on case by case basis.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with preferred focus in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 5+ years in wind or solar project engineering, project management, or project development.

  • Thorough understanding and implementation of projects in accordance with contracts.

  • Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, leadership and communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels

  • Ability to create project schedules and cash flows.

  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years progressive contract negotiation experience.

  • Experience negotiating wind and solar Build Transfer Agreements.

  • Project Management execution experience.

  • Construction field experience.

Base Pay

115,000.00 - 160,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 25% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
 
In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance. Your recruiter can share more about bonus eligibility for this position during the hiring process.
