The Role
The Advisory Consultant in Risk is a delivery resource with focused responsibility for engagement sales support and post-sales delivery on specific customer engagements tied to Risk Management solutions. The Risk Advisory Consultant is a resource who has demonstrable experience with sales support, presentation, documentation, and consulting management and service delivery skills in various Risk Management competencies. The Risk Advisory Consultant is considered a subject matter expert in one or more designated solution focus areas (e.g., Enterprise Risk Management) and must be able to oversee complex solutions from presales inception to delivery.
Target solution areas include but are not limited to: Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, IT Risk, Internal Audit, Regulatory Compliance, Policy Management, Third-Party Management, Issue Management, etc.
In addition to participating in presales support the Risk Advisory Consultant plans, directs, and coordinates activities on designated advisory services projects. Through sound management techniques, strong technical skills and exceptional client relationship management the Risk Advisory Consultant establishes a strong value-add relationship with the client and the Fusion Risk Management team.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 3 or more years of Risk Management industry experience, with experience leading and/or participating in Enterprise/Operational Risk level strategic initiatives or equivalent
- 3 or more years’ experience coordinating, participating, and/supporting Risk Management consulting engagements including scheduling and overall engagement management
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to develop and maintain detailed project schedules
- Strong meeting management skills and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage distributed teams of people who are not always direct reports
- High attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to succinctly summarize key findings
- Strong presentation skills with the confidence to present to large, executive-level audiences
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as prior success working with engineers
- Ability to balance and prioritize conflicting requirements
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Risk Management Industry certification (PRM, APRM, CPA, CFA, CIA, etc.)
- Risk Management consulting and/or direct practitioner experience and any relevant certifications preferred
Location
The Risk Advisory Consultant must be based in the United States, near a major international airport
