About the Role

In the last year, Farmer's Fridge has more than doubled in size and we are entering an exciting period of rapid growth and expansion. We are looking for a highly organized, process-driven, person to manage our facility operations and ensure our food production team has the tools, and environment to maximize efficiency and quality.

  • Executor at heart - willing to do whatever is needed to get the job done, whether that's putting away boxes, changing light bulbs or making critical decisions to protect the health and safety of our team and our customers

IN A TYPICAL WEEK, YOU WILL:

  • Manage capital improvement projects including hiring and managing all contractors
  • Research, recommend, purchase, and oversee the installation of new equipment
  • Train employees on use of equipment including safety requirements
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs, and contractors, for all facility equipment
  • Manage facility compost, trash, recycling, and pest controls programs
  • Develop safety programs and conduct safety training
  • Develop contingency plans for critical equipment, and act to mitigate risk proactively to avoid downtime
  • Ensure office, break room and dock are kept clean and organized

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Operations Management preferred
  • 3-6 years of facility management, engineering, or project management, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with 6 sigma, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvements efforts
  • The ability to operate in ambiguous situations and be flexible as the organization changes and grows – we are in a new place every quarter!
