Summary
A successful Junior Project Manager will be experienced in working with senior management, project managers, back office staff, and administrative support personnel to help manage a multimillion-dollar project. Under the direction of the Project Executive, the Junior Project Manager will need to be self-motivated and provide executive level reporting and regular status updates on a weekly basis to track project milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute project related documents including forecasts, invoicing, timelines, project risks and opportunities
- Track the transition and delivery activities of the project team
- Participate/conduct client meetings based on defined schedules or as requested by SDI or Client management
- Communicate effectively with client management both formally and informally including the development and delivery of periodic status reports
- Assist the project team with defining scope, assigning resources and timelines, and overseeing implementation and change requests
- Stay abreast of opportunity trends, client requirements, and geographic market demands to provide input to the strategic planning
- Effectively network internally and externally to remain knowledgeable about the full range of SDI’s service offerings and communicate them to external audiences
Skill Requirements:
- 4 year college degree or equivalent experience
- Four or more years of related experience in the project administration of IT services delivery
- Conversant in IT operations including: Data Center operations, Network operations, Help Desk and Desktop support
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts
- Exposure to ServiceNow is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and manage a workload
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and graphical
